Best Buy marked my order ready for pickup but Target now has the Pro available for in-store pickup, I think I might change to there because Target is a lot closer for me (~5 miles vs. ~15)
edit: order placed at Target, I’m going to wait to cancel the Best Buy one until I have it in hand just in case

Well. Signed i to new pro. Downloaded update to ps5 pro and disc drive. Swapped ssd both ps5's on and
Had to delete astro playroom room from m2 ssd as it was preinstalled on the internal.
Panicked a bit when my usual games didn't appear at the top. But all good. Now to sort out game share on the old one. Plus getting the portal to work on the old one for the Mrs.
Edit.
Didn't need to change anything still works just downloaded the games again onto old PS5. Portal works on old still so that saved me a bit of time.
Had to delete astro playroom room from m2 ssd as it was preinstalled on the internal.

Mine now has pride of place under the TV and is currently in rest mode whilst filling its belly with some games. It is much smaller and lighter than I expected, and is super quiet - though I haven’t actually booted up any games yet.
I’m going to check out the following over the next few days:
Spider-man 2, F1 2024, NMS, FF7:R, Alan Wake 2, Kayak VR, Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Stellar Blade. I’ll add my impressions as and when.

Yeah i was suprised how light it is.I quickly unboxed it during lunch break, it's much smaller and lighter than the original and also looks much better. Tonight I'll test the first games, add the disc drive and a 2TB SSD
DPD driver handed to me and my first thought was is this my ps5 pro or something else.

77 lg g2 maybe the games yoru playing? Some don't have patches.
Just gave GT7 a go it's 4k120 on fidelity mode but hasn't been patched yet.

I mentioned this as well first seeing my buddies over the weekend that some games looked sharper but if I am being honest especially on my 4k 32" OLED monitor without seeing games side by side its hard to actually tell a difference
Don't expect a holy crap type of moment across the board

Ordered mine from Smyths in Ireland and had it delivered this morning but boy was it a dilemma. Driver left it at my door and just left, so my neighbour ended up taking it in as it was raining. I contacted them to say it was delivered but no one came to my door, I never signed for it. Didn't know this at the time so they back to me saying they've forwarded it onto my courier, and if it's lost they will block the serial number. My neighbour contacts me to say they have it. I get it and let them know the issue was resolved, they say enjoy the playstation. All is good I have it setup downloading games and then the driver comes to my door saying I'm trying to get him sacked and we are having a shouting match over the fact an 800 euro package should require a signature and not just leave it in the rain at my fucking door. Anyways enjoying the console, great improvements what I've tested so far

What the fuck is that!? They sent me my disk drive, my controller charger and presumably my 30th anniversary controller I got.
And let me guess, there's no way to contact them right!? Such fucking horse shit.
Edit: I think I know what happened. The day they charged me for it, I probably didn't pay off my credit card in time. Fuck me. I'll juts get one from Amazon.

Just got my Pro Pre-order from Smyths Toys here in Ireland. Unfortunately i can't use it until later as I'm going to be busy with Real Life stuff for most of the day.
But when I do the first game I'll be playing will be FF7 Rebirth and it will be my first play through too so looking forward to it.
