Ubisoft over 6 games for Switch 2 are in love

Completely Unreasonable
Are people really excited to play old ports? I just don’t get it.

The only thing exciting about the Switch 2 is the first party games of course but can’t imagine playing old games on worst hardware.
I would tend to agree, but I suppose there are plenty of switch players who have never had access to these games.

Porting a game being relatively inexpensive means that they don't need huge sales to turn a profit.

I think what's interesting (and I'm guilty of it) is the continued focus on the new and rejection of the "old" - games lose their lustre in the eye of gamers so quickly that high rated essential games are passed over within a couple of years.

It's a bit like pop music. Much excitement and fanfare at launch and then immediately onto the next thing.

- AC Shadows
- AC Mirage
- AC Valhalla
- AC Odyssey
- SW Outlaws
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- PoP: The Lost Crown
- The Division 2
- R6 Siege
- Mario and Rabbids remastered? Maybe even a sequel to Mario and Rabbids.
- Watch_Dogs: Legion
- Far Cry 6
- Trackmania
- The Crew Motorfest
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist Remaster

Those are all I could think of, from their porting side.

They basically gonna have to pay full price for fat, ugly, leftover

nothing wrong with being fat pal

All those AC from PS4 era that wait to be sold again at a full price
Black Flag is already on Switch, I own the rather rare physical version. They've exhausted their most popular classic titles already. Can't see Origins or Odessey selling million on Switch 2.

Hey, that would be very cool to have on the Switch 2.

Yep. It didn't light the charts on fire, wasn't reviewed too badly (70's meta I think) and didn't get a Switch release.

Perfect candidate for this audience, mostly for the nature of the game franchise, garnered towards children.

They would want to capitalise on the launch window of the console for these games to sell the best they can.

Here come a bunch of ports of worser versions that’s already out on current consoles. How exciting.
