It all comes down to games , games dictates our choices , if it's not cyberpunk then it's gtavi if not then it's the elder scrolls vi , one way or the other , in the end big games changes our minds easily ; the least thing you could do is finding the sweet spot which is a build usually 2 years after consoles launch that could genuinely carry you till the end of the generation , it's definitely not the 2080ti or even the upcoming 3080ti.

But the 2070, 2070s, 2080, 2080s and 2080ti is already shitting on next gen consoles before they even release, why wouldn't this trend continues? I love how console gamers always tag Nvidia gpu's in their post, as they can't argue that same point with AMD gpu's, cause they aren't up to par. Although, consoles are rocking AMD gpu:s for next gen. Big ooof right there.

It's strange to see people get so irate over products that both have their positives and negatives. Who gives a shit if the positives and negatives hold different weight in someone else's mind and that results in a different preferred choice to your list? I was tired of the slowness of the consoles at the end of the last generation, so I moved to PC because I value performance.

To have a go at bringing things back to the OP question, I'd imagine the biggest jump is the developer changes because of the hardware floor being boosted. That's not to say consoles are massively weaker, but rather that cross platform titles will be developed within a certain range to achieve some semblance of parity. Developers move forward with lighting techniques and whatnot, and we all benefit in the long run.

You have to buy each component of a PC build and every producer needs to make money from you as an individual customer. This means you pay way more per part than Sony or Nintendo do.....

So basically you are getting terrible value on hardware when you buy. A PC.
PCs are not infinitely upgradable, many times almost everything has to go... Like going to PCIE4.

Sony and Nintendo get to take advantage of economies of scale and have a duty to provide high quality content.... PC has nobody to curate and provide.

That's why i buy Xbox even that their games are on PC

Steam has better sales than PSN, not just for steam sales, but on any given day. PSN blows compared to steam.

What about mods that built specifically for the enthusiast builds with an i9 and 1 grand gpu? ,cause it doesn't stops there with just an fps count , who's gonna spend at least 2 grands for the bare minimum requirements without taking mods into account ?

The bold is a load of trash. We know at worst, next gen consoles will be equivalent to the 5700xt and 3700x which tosses your GPU and CPU estimates in the trash where they belong. With regards to your SSD figure, I've yet to see 1TB NVME drives at that price so again, in the trash. In fact, just take your whole list of terrible estimates and toss it in the trash where it belongs.

Consoles are mass market devices. High end PCs are enthusiast devices. This is an enthusiast forum. I would think, on an enthusiast forum, more people would appreciate what an enthusiast device brings to the table. Everyone has their preferences. Some game on console, some on pc. I'm not knocking either. But it's annoying when console warriors think they have better hardware than PC, which can be easily disproved.
