Man I'm on the fence here.

Finished up with Silent Hill 2 Remake and now I don't know what to start - either finally tackle Baldur's Gate 3, which I bought last month, or buy Indiana.

I didn't want to spend any money, but Indiana seems really cool.

Play BG3 you won’t regret it.

PS5: Persona 3 Reload (October)
NSW: Super Mario Bros Wonder (100% completion attempt, currently on W4)

Mario Wonder is probably the best 2D Mario since Yoshi's Island, but that only makes it the third best 2D Mario.

iOS: ExoArmor (superb for pick up and play quickly)
PC: Journey (digging it so far)
Switch: Mario Kart 8 (booster content), Picross S4

I only have little bits of time here and there, and this has been a great mix. I wanted to get into Metroid Dread finally but it needs larger blocks of time that I’m fresh out of at the moment.

I started Starfield today and I don't know if I'm just not in the mood or if I'm over Bethesda games, but I was bored out of my mind. I just could not get into it. Maybe I'm not in the right state of mind. So debating on if I'll drop it for now and then go back to the drawing board to figure out what to play next.

As someone who loves Bethesda games of the past, Starfield is just garbage. I can pick up and play Skyrim unmodded for the hundredth time and have more fun.

The menu system seems a lot worse in this game, and I have no idea how to fly the ship. It doesn't seem like the ship even fucking moves unless I hit the boost. So I guess there's no point in manually flying and I should just use the menu to travel every time I'm in space.

And I didn't find combat very fun. The graphics were a lot better than I expected though for a Bethesda game, except the character models.

You've been waffling about a lot lately between new games. Maybe go back and replay an old favorite?

I've been using my Steamdeck OLED to emulate the game. Graphic Settting is 720p and Anti Alising MSAA X 8. Beautiful looking game and I really like the character models especially. Battle system is a interesting hybrid of turn based and action based. You just go to an enemies and the character you control just hits the enemies. And you can use skills. I like figuring out how to use the seek command to take out enemies/bosses using their weaknesses against them. Music and voice acting is really good. Plot and cast is fantastic. Really like the romance between the two MCs. It's so far a fantastic game.

Any issues with Emulation? Yeah when I started the game and got to FMV Introduction Scene with the game title is when the music starts to go all static like.

Something I can't use the seek/crossbow button on my 8bitdo controller. So I have to switch between steamdeck handheld controller to be able to use it. So it's annoying since it's required to beat certain bosses

I'm around 6 Hours into the game and got to Chapter 15. There's around 44 Chapters and so far I'm breezing through the game

The game has it's tough moments though

Life Is Strange Double Exposure (Steamdeck)

I finished the first chapter and it didn't impress me. I found it somewhat boring. I'll eventually get back to the game and finish it but so far I'm just am dreading it

Ace Attorney 1 is done. Started the second game. I'm so glad I bought the trilogy. Not sure if Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is the same quality, better, or worse. I have no idea, but it's on the backlog, and I plan to play it after this. The only thing I know is that Great Ace Attorney comes before it timeline-wise, but I'm playing in release date order.

I'm almost done with the first Ace Attorney game, I just have two more cases to get through. And yeah I'm playing the games in release order too

Somehow I'm sucked into One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 on my PS5. (It's the PS4 version.)

I'm in the first mission where you rescue Zoro. I went through it last night but it didn't save? Hm. Oh well. I'll knock it out now.

I still need to play the first, but 2 is fantastic.
I would not say fantastic as a game overall, but the absolute chaos you can cause with the car hacks and calling gangs on people is a sight to behold, too bad the animations\collisions are far from gta with euphoria engine so running people down doesn't look nearly as satisfying (in wd1 feels better to run down people with cars but still no euphoria level).
And the pedestrians ai feels alive and reactive but waaaaay too random in how they react, still funny but it would be much better with more coherent reactions (and again when they interact with each other you can clearly notice the scripted animations instead of something more dynamic when they punch each others), ubisoft should pay any money rockstar ask to use euphoria in their games.

First one is way more serious, violent and with much better gunplay, but you don't have some of the new cool hackings.

A mix of the 2 would be seriously great in the hands of people who can wrote better plots and characters.

Too bad the brand is probably dead after legion.

Did you mess with the online very much?

There were a ton of modes you could play, but my favorite was the near seamless hacker mode where you had to hide while you stole another players data. I remember I would steal delivery trucks or industrial vehicles and people would rarely suspect me in those. Lots of good memories with WD2's online.

I don't typically like to replay games. I have a super large backlog, just not in the mood for most of it. I could go for a Metroidvania, a FPS, or platformer. But I really have cleared my backlog of all those.

I'm into winter now. Unlike Stardew Valley (unless they changed that?), you can still farm in winter, which makes winter more fun. I also bought a couple of chickens, mainly because the main story quest demands eggs. I've also reached level 60 in the mines but can't do the tablet quest yet.

Nioh 2
Onto the second region. Having a lot of fun with my build. Still using Dual Swords as my primary weapon but I've been switching my secondary weapon between various types. I've also started using some shurikens and poison damage.

Stalker2 - nice game which gives me lots of old school vibes....like dying a lot. :messenger_tears_of_joy: But man, the economy stuff and stamina and weight restrictions are absolutely horrible. Had to install a few mods. Now its way more enjoyable (and I am still dying a lot).

The backlog struggle is real, even worse once you get caught up it's like "...now what?" Do you have a list of games in those genres you played and which platforms you own? I could just throw a bunch of the best ones out there but might be better to narrow down a bit first.

Nine hours into the game and I just got past Chapter 20 (Out of 44). So far the story and cast is really good and yes it has it's tropes but I don't mind that. I'm hoping to finish this by Friday

Eh ... well, I enjoyed the demo, and the opening couple of hours. But the longer I've played the game, the more I've noticed how the entire thing just feels incomplete and unfinished. It's rather directionless, the plot feeling like an afterthought. There's a distinct lack of sign posting as to what you're supposed to be doing or going once you arrive back at the Citadel between runs. On top of that, the game leans far too heavily on RNG, to the point where enemies can become complete damage sponges, and fighting the bosses is downright tedious.

Sorry, I can't recommend this one. There's also a "hyper mode" that works a lot Hades where, when you die, your damage resistance is increased a little at a time, up to 65%. I discovered a bug in the game last night whereby simply switching characters in the Citadel will result in the damage resistance increasing anyway..! No need to attempt a run. Sadly, all this doesn't make the game any more fun to play, since you're still at the mercy of RNG, meaning having to strike regular enemies some 10-12 times before they die.

Will play it a bit longer, and then bin it off. If I can work out where I'm meant to be going and how to get there..! Disappointed, as I played the demo for a good hour or more before buying.

Starting Kingdom Come: Deliverance on SX (basically the One X version), doesn't seem like there's gonna be a 60fps patch for this on console so might as well get it done before the sequel.

Apotheosis X (an insanely good scenario for AlephOne engine)
Yes, it's an old Doom-like engine (it's the open-source Marathon Engine), but damn did the people behind this campaign create something special. As long as you tweak the mouse controls a little, plays like a lot of these "Boomer-Shooters" coming out lately.

If you installed the free "Marathon: Infinity" on Steam you can install Apotheosis X from the workshop.

I started Scars Above. It isn't great, but it scratches the itch in the type of game I want to play. After this I may finally play Gears 5. I think the Gears series is so overrated, but I'm in the mood for a shooter and bought it years ago for $10 new and never played it, so might as well finally get to it.

Alright, this game's pretty wack lol.

- Console version looks like Oblivion with better looking human character models.
- The lock picking game is absolutely atrocious
- The combat is very slow, prodding. I'm sure others find it fun but I am not.

Finished Rebirth on Monday.
Overall really enjoyed it and it might be my GOTY. The combat and music are still the highlight for me, but I did enjoy the more open nature of the sequel and all the minigames. There is a certain quirky nature to the game that I really enjoyed and brought back memories of older JRPG's.

The open world is indeed very ubisoft-like but I had fun with it. I liked how all the activities were relatively brief and most of them build towards something fun, like the ruins scanning to make it easier to get the summon, or the crystal scanning which eventually unlocks a unique optional boss battle in every region, or how everything gives you these points you can use to get unique region specific materia .

The sidequests were pretty good too, I ended up doing all of them except one of the very last ones (which involved going back to too many minigames in the gold saucer). Like the more general world activities, most of them are pretty short and do a good job at feeling varied by introducing unique mechanics, bosses, locations and ocasional minigames.

I just wish it looked better in performance mode on the base Ps5, but I can't bring myself to play at 30fps. Eventually I sort of just got used to the blurriness, and the tip I saw online of setting the console resolution to 1440p did indeed help a bit.

Natlas Mines on Tomb Raider remastered. This level is by far the most difficult. At least up until the very last ones. The previous ones in Egypt or whatever Laras traveling to are kind of a breeze, which I appreciate. It breaks off from the difficulty in Greece and the annoyance of Pierre, who seems to be much more prevalent in this remaster. He just pops up at the most damndest of times and starts shooting. When you shoot back, he takes some damage, but after a while his healthbar disappears and you can´t hurt him. This is where he is supposed to run away but sometimes the AI isn´t that great so he just runs around back and forth and doesn´t know where he´s going. So I´m standing there looking at him just acting like a total chump. It´s kinda funny.

Look in the options menu and make sure it's set to be on easy mode. IIRC they patched that after release because people found it too hard.

- The combat is very slow, prodding. I'm sure others find it fun but I am not.
Train with Captain Bernard before doing anyhing else. Learn the parry and all the ither stuff he teaches and make an habit of sparring with him. Signing to the tournament also helps with getting some exp.

Bought this, Aladdin, and Jungle Book. Finished the game in a sitting - only half an hour long. great little bit of nostalgia. Will finish Aladdin next. Never played Jungle Book so looking forward to that the most out of the collection.

Started Diablo Inmortal. Had fun and hit level 9. The game decided to give me a free character boost to level 60. I read where it’s ok to use it. Yet the fun was gaining levels. I read online where the real game begins at level 60, so it’s fine. 😒

Playing some Ys, RE4VR, and Asgards Wrath 2.

I had to give up on Stalker 2.
It's the kind of game that I like, but for whatever reason, it just wasn't doing it for me.
Might return to it if they ever get the performance sorted out on Series X.

Started Jedi Survivor tonight.

Put a pause on Kingdom Come Deliverance, doesn't seem like my kind of game. Ah well, t'was only $3.99. Maybe I'll revisit it some time in the future. Probably means the sequel won't be my kind of game either.

Started Mafia 3.

I don't remember the game looking so washed out back on the PS4. Hell of a soundtrack tho.

Just like The Lion King, I loved this game as a kid. A sweet yet short experience. Was gonna jump into Jungle Book, but apparently that's DLC and I don't want to pay for it. Not unless it's a steep sale.

Going to play through Half-Life 2 next. A game I haven't played since it originally launched in 2004. I never beat it either.

There is a remastered version titled Complete Edition available for both PS5 and PC...

Completely forgot about that version. Downloaded it now. Doh!

Yeah, binned it off. I had no idea how I was supposed to proceed. I think the game is bugged, as after completing the same level (and boss) 3 or 4 times, I was always booted back to the hub. Video walkthroughs show something different happening. Oh well.

Horizon: Forbidden West

Preparing to start Burning Shores, but I've not played this game for three years, so I'm having to take a few hours to first of all work out how everything works again!

Man, either my memory is failing me or this is one of those rare cases where a PS4 game has some kind of issues running on PS5, cause I don't remember Mafia 3 looking this ugly on the PS4 Pro back when it first came out.

Everything is so incredibly washed out, some of the worst SSR I've ever seen etc.

Sleeping Dogs is a 360/PS3 game and that game's 1080p version for XBOne looks miles better than this.

Finished Scars Above and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's not a great game and I went in with low expectations. But the gameplay, the atmosphere, it was a fun little game. It was exactly what I was looking for. I tried to go back to Rise of the Ronin, but I just find it painfully boring. Maybe I'll go back to it again at some point. I'm going to try Gears 5 next, which I never played because I'm not a huge fan of the series. But I'm in the mood for shooters right now.

I played GTA IV on my PC after fixing it with fan-made patches using this video.

I can't believe how bad the vanilla PC version on Steam is. Anyways, it's still a solid game. Some things hold up great, while others are outdated and janky.

Man, this game treated gamers like adults, unlike the latest game I've played. I love the tone. And the cars are on another level—there's something different about them. Maybe it's the physics or something else, but they feel distinct compared to GTA V.

Got this one on my Wishlist. An RPG set in historical Warsaw with Polish folklore sounds so damn fresh!

Currently around 15 hours into Metaphor Refantazio, so going to be a while before i get to something new though.
