Wuthering Waves |OT| - Devil May Impact

In principle it will work if you play through quick swap.

But honestly, you have a much better option.
Rover (Havoc) + Sanhua + Verina - Also played through fast character rotation
Encore + Sanhua + Verina - Works even better because Sanhua buffs normal attack damage when rotating, increasing damage of Encore.

Silversnow - The next character (or other characters on a nearby team that activates an Outro Skill) gains 38% Basic Attack DMG Deepen for 14s, or until the character is switched off field.

When Encore activates her ult, she transforms into her second form.

Basic Attack: Cosmos: Frolicking
During Cosmos Rampage, the Basic Attack is replaced with Cosmos: Frolicking, which performs up to 4 consecutive attacks, dealing Fusion DMG, considered as Basic Attack damage.
Cosmos: Dodge Counter
During Cosmos Rampage, use Basic Attack after a successful Dodge to attack the target, dealing Fusion DMG, considered as Basic Attack damage.

All of these attacks will be buffed by Sanhua's buff.
thx a lot.

thx a lot.
This is a very popular team, in game on lvl 100 Bosses it looks like this.

The team building mechanism is quite simple.
1 Position - always DPS
2 Position - this character should either increase DPS damage or help him with rotation
3 Position - support healer, if this healer buffs DPS damage, even better

Done with the main quest.

Ending boss is cool, and I like how it ended with more questions than answers.

Fucking Cristoforo, you rat.

About following 5 stars:

That sneak peak for Brant and Zani was fire.

So Brant used some type of rope, fireworks and a gun. Being a pirate captain I don't see him being a gun wielder. If I had to guess they're gonna pull a Childe on him. Maybe a mix of Gunner and a Swordsman.

Zani has a big fucking shield. No idea how that's gonna play out.

Time to start working in levelling up my Rover and explore the new map.

There are so many different rumors and speculations that it is better not to think about them for now. It is easier to wait for the launch of the test server and leaks from it.

Our closest character is Roccia, and everything is more or less clear with her, they made a support for Camellya. Since her Outro Skill - Applause, Please! it is naturally a Sanhua skill, but for Havoc damage. (The incoming Resonator has their Havoc DMG Amplified by 20% and Basic Attack DMG Amplified by 25% for 14s or until the Resonator is switched out.)
That's why those who want to play through Camellya or want to max out her damage, apparently will have to pull Roccia. I got away with it, I skipped Camellya :messenger_grinning:

I can't help but laugh a little that they only have Jiyan on the team for an air dash lol.
Changli could have been used for air dash combo, but he needed a double dash in the air, that's probably why he used these characters.

But all Combo videos - Combos made for beauty and having no practical value in terms of DPS. But in any case, it's nice that the game has such an opportunity and people who like to make beautiful combos can have fun like this.
If you take the combo from the point of view of spectacle + practicality, and the amount of DPS, then in terms of combo - Calcharo is beyond competition in my opinion, especially when you know what he needs to do in the combo. His combo rotation can be put in a museum as art. But this spectacle drives me into deep depression. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Totally agree. I've been playing since launch and I still regularly do style combos for no other purpose than to enjoy it. Love that the game has that possibility.

Calcutta is the only Standard character I don't have yet. I got furry boi twice as lost 50/50s, unfortunately. I look forward to finally getting him someday and playing around with him, he seems stylish, if not all that strong.

*edit*

Official social media accounts dropped Phoebe art/drip marketing tonight, so my guess is she's probably dialed in for having a 2.1 banner with this timeline. I don't think she or Rocco are going to do big numbers like Carlotta, but I guess we'll see.

Don't rush, for many this character has become an indicator of how far they are from a hight level in this game. There is no need to rush fate and depression :messenger_tears_of_joy:

It was quite expected, she has quite a big role in the plot, plus there is a separate whole quest with her. Most likely she is a support or a second position, they will definitely not make DPS out of her.

I'm so knee deep in half built characters, I wouldn't have to roll for anyone for at least a few months to build out just the ones I enjoy using. The skill level and echo grind is pretty absurd in this game. Like you said though, it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Leaks sub said that she will be a custom tailored support to possibly Zani and another future DPS. Kinda silly to bring her out first if that is the case, but I stopped trying to understand gacha banner strategies a long time ago. My interest is low in her for now, but I still haven't played 2.0 story so we'll see.

This game has a rather interesting situation with characters. It directly depends on the player's wishes. You can play this game as a regular Gatcha game - pulling out new characters and just going through the story. But if you want to go deeper into the game and so to speak touch the endgame, then you need practice and learn characters. And here comes the most interesting moment, the game has easy characters, medium difficulty and difficult characters. And it takes different amounts of time to learn their combos and rotations, unless of course you are a player from Asia - these are good right from birth. Therefore, depending on the characters and group chosen, the process of learning rotations and combos will vary in complexity and time. For players who want to delve deeper into the game, having a lot of characters is both a plus and a minus.

There are a huge number of collaborations and events in China, especially with fast food and phone manufacturers. On average, Chinese players in China Gacha games have 1.5 (in some games 2) times more events and rewards for them than players in the rest of the world. :messenger_grinning:

Yeah, I've randomly looked yesterday through some of the WuWa videos on bilibili and they all have so many views and comments so no wonder they're catering to them. I bet most (or at least a big portion) of the game's revenue comes from China.

Edit: I obviously know that Kuro Games is a Chinese game studio. :p

Kuro missed a big opportunity to have a festival event to introduce Jinhsi and her new costume. They really should have the character videos from youtube in the game as well.

It's too soon for her to popup in Rinascita.

They should have saved her skin for later and do a banger skin for Rover instead.

I just tested the game in my PS5 pro. I think I haven't played any other game with worse performance than this one.
Yeah, the performance is all over the place, and I think on base PS5 is even worse. I've around 30h on WuWa on PS5 Pro and I eventually got used to the fluctuating fps. Hopefully they'll do further optimizations in the future patches though.

In my memory, the only Gatcha (With a huge open world) game on a modern engine that came out in good condition on PS5 right away is Infinity Nikki, and I don't know how they did it, considering that this is their first game on consoles, and the second game of their studio in principle. Plus it's also Unreal 5, which in theory should have created additional problems, plus they just roll out patches for it almost every day for 100-200 MB. But overall, yes, we hope that they will fix it, considering that Kuro listened very well to the players and made a lot of changes, there is a chance for this.

Yeah, those are some good points. I'm hopeful that Kuro will listen to our complaints and fix the perf issues on PS5 soonish.

Edit: I've just noticed that I've just reached 100 replies in this OT. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Locking it to 30fps certainly helped. Being a mobile game at heart, only 30 does shows they had trouble.

Recently, a translation of an interview from Chinese was posted on the official Reddit.
They are still working on optimization, and one of the points is that they are considering the possibility of bringing phones to 60 fps in the future (They are also locked to 30 fps). So there is a chance that 60 fps will be delivered, but not quickly. But this is not a topic for another game, so I made a link. You can read everything there.

Tbh, this game should not have been released on mobile (at least not in its current state). It looks like an entirely different game on phones compared to the PC and console versions.

Daaaaang, Lumi is so much fun to play, way more fun that Calcharo, there's so many cool moves you can do, run very fast and attack enemies at the same time, instantly teleport and slam motherfuckers with the sword and than bounce their head while riding the little hamster or hers of whoever it is:messenger_smiling_hearts:

Not a fan of her ranged attacks though which deal fuck all damage but whatever, I'm not using this state much anyway. I wish I had full set of purple electro echoes for her, but oh well:messenger_weary:

You guys, does she have her own character quest in the game?

I've been clearing the map (2.0) of side quests and... on the topic of sudden musical themes with vocals... Dear Kuro, who the hell thought of hiding this track inside one event and one mini-game. I'll hide it under a spoiler, since it's better to experience it for the first time without spoilers. Those who have completed this mini-game, I think, will immediately understand what I mean. :messenger_grinning:

She participates as one of the main characters in one of the quests, if we talk without spoilers.

Infinity Nikki is a 30fps game, run to 70-90fps in similar hardware to PS5 Pro and over 60fps in similar hardware to PS5, so I wouldn’t say that game is in good condition in PS5

I gave a link to the interview above. The only difference is that they never had plans for 60 FPS, they initially planned 30 FPS, and in the interview they said that they were considering the possibility of 60 FPS in the future. So in this matter, they still have everything ahead of them. If they had promised everyone 60 FPS game and in the game FPS jumping from 30 to 60 and back, like it was at the start of the same Genshin on PS5, when you couldn’t just run around the city, your FPS was jumping like you're on a roller coaster. That's a completely different matter.

Just completed that secret quest with Lorei two hours ago. It was dope and I so wish Kuro would let us replay it. Anyway, here's my footage with immersive mode which I too will be putting under a spoiler tag.

:messenger_hushed:

How can you fly like that? Is it something that will be unlocked later?
Nankatsu already mentioned, but yeah, the flying mechanic gets unlocked once you reach the Rinascita region which was added with version 2.0. It's currently exclusive to that new region.

So they were making the game 30fps on PS5 from beginning and sending 60fps gameplays to Sony for YouTube channel? lol

Yooo, they brought back Fuling from Mt. Firmament.

I was strolling around the map and saw a very familiar NPC. Thought they where recycle assets but turns out they're not.

And by the looks of it you even trigger some type of sidequest.

Is this the first time you've seen a trailer that doesn't match the final product for marketing purposes? There was a thread somewhere around here about how Monster Hunter Wilds was shown at presentations with 60 FPS in performance mode on PS5, but when the beta came out it wasn't even close to reality. Every year at Game Awards you are shown trailers that 90% do not correspond to the reality of the final product, and then here on Neogaf we discuss the downgrades of the game compared to the presentation. I won't even write about Ubisoft. I think it was even simpler here, Sony just asked for marketing materials, took the trailer from the PC version and stuck the PlayStation logo on it without even going into the question of what's going on with the FPS. You should trust advertising less, it's never led to anything good for anyone.

I wish I hadn't leveled up my characters. The enemies are extremely tanky now. I would understand that with Endgame, but so much life after just lvl 40. Doesn't anyone test their own games?

What's the best set for Havoc rover?
It seems like nothing has changed with the release of 2.0
Sun-sinking Eclipse + Dreamless
In a 4-3-3-1-1 formation, the two 3's should be Havoc DMG's
I wish I hadn't leveled up my characters. The enemies are extremely tanky now.
If it's really hard, you can always roll back the world level by 1. This will lower the level of enemies in the world, then you can always return it up by 1 level.
But usually such problems indicate a developing problem with the group, echoes.

Did you complete your first ascension quest? If so, I think you also unlocked the option to lower your world level by one tier so you can revert to how it was before the ascension.

This is completely false, so all gameplays from Monster Hunter in presentations had frame drops.

I'm not talking about Game Awards. I'm talking about Sony shows and Youtube, where Sony always specify when gameplay is not running in PS5. This game was presented as 60fps in a PS5 show.

this topic is for you, you can also take a look here. This topic is not about these games, you can discuss it there.
If you're really that interested in why Sony used this trailer, well, write them this question. We don't have such information here, and it's unlikely that anyone on Neogaf has it.

I am now at Sol phase 3. I really only want to play the story and I wasn't planning to grind Ecoes. But yes, I hardly have a selection of echoes at the moment.
