And I'll reply to this point.

Lara and Alloy are both main characters. They don't have any side kick following them around throughout their journey.

Ellie is the main character of TLOU 2, not Joel. Abby doesn't replace Joel. My main point is that it is not SJW pandering for putting a woman in this position. You can be upset that she kills Joel and you have to play as her, but to scream SJW pandering is just ridiculous.

Right now, I'm leaning towards Abby being playable after you beat the main game. It sounds a little better than playing her story right after you finish Ellie's, but who really knows at this point? I just find it interesting.

I can't see it being split like that. I think it will just revert back to that point in the story. Like in uncharted 2, you'll get the big bang opening, then play as Ellie. Then I think it will 'return' like to where Drake is hanging then you'll play as a different persepctive. ND really like their structure. I mean it might be, but I'd probably think it will be more like UC than RE

There's also a difference between a protagonist and a playable antagonist. Should be basic but people don't seem to know the difference.

nobody really knew that for sure and most hoped that since the game was very long joel would be playable 40-50% in the story even though ellie was the main protag now.

Only ever tried the multiplayer of Uncharted 4, but I always picked Nadine. She's absolutely gorgeous. :messenger_smiling:

I have no context for strong woman nadine, but it seems so on the nose there as people say. It isn't about subversion of tropes as much as hamfistedly spiting your audience as much as possible because of a political ideology of how women are going to save us all by being the man of the future.

Just to put it out there, if she had used the proper techniques and her brain instead of swatting them away like flies....I'd have let it go. But you're absolutely right and she is beautiful... never had an issue with her look.

The main trailer showed her saying she's going to kill every last one of them

The third trailer was her and Dina kissing and gameplay of Ellie fighting the the religious group. At this point, many people were speculating that Ellie was going to get revenge for killing Dina. This what the "Angry Lesbian" memes started.


The Fourth trailer was also about Ellie and about getting revenge. From this point, just about everyone knew Ellie was the main character.

People thought the game was going to be long because you would play as Ellie's mother, which turned out to be Abby.

I'll be honest here. I'm not too mad for Joel being killed off like that. The way TLOU ended, alot of controversy did surround about him being an asshole for saving ellie over humanity. We understand Joel's reasoning because we play the entire game from his perspective, but from that tranny's perspective, it is not irrational to be mad at him. Hell.. I was already expecting it to happen.

Now since I'm already in the spoilers, Im wondering about the Christian homophobic cult I have been reading everywhere about.

Like for instance... I loved Uncharted 4, I thought it was the first Uncharted where the story was interesting though I think they drop the ball and resolve things with the brother too softly. The combat and level designs were the best of the franchise, though as well as the visuals obviously. I never once thought about Nadine beating Drake as some SJW shit and I definitely didn't think Drake having a daughter had anything to do with SJW crap.

I also always expected TLOU II to be more an Ellie game than a Joel game. Like many, after that first trailer I speculated Joel wasn't even alive but a ghost. If Joel was going to die having it be at the hands of a Firefly makes sense, a Firefly who is related to one he murdered makes even more sense. Besides killing someone he didn't need to he doomed the world. From the perspective of the Fireflies he was evil. I'm hoping the game, however, has Abby re-think Joel when she realizes he was trying to save his daughter... Ellie. I'm hoping we get real depth there. Also, I was introduced to Abby in that trailer with her like everyone else, I don't recall thinking she was too buff for that world, or that it was unrealistic. All that talk seems to have sprung up around the leaks which feature unfinished footage that's often low resolution. Also, if you've seen all the leaks you'd know she isn't gay, one of the small snippets is her having sex with a man, also nothing in the leaks suggests she's a tranny, but we do get an idea of why she could be so buff.

they always said it was ellie story but we all knew naughty dog likes to mislead us, and surprise us. of course they did with this being 50% abby story as well. many expected joel to be that nice surprise since he was so hidden, what we got was monkey shit instead.

Why does it matter so much that half the game is Abby if the half that's Ellie is just as long as the first game? This game is double the length the first.

Is true they have been known to do stuff like that, but this would mean that the game switches to Abby right before the fight.


If there's footage of Ellie fighting Abby the same section, then this would make this theory possible. There's footage taken from late Feb. They could have a very old build.

I guess it depends how they do it. No one really knows what the canon ending is, or who the survivor is. If I was guessing, I am going to suggest you play the same scene from the two points of view. What we've seen both walk away - I don't think it will be a choice. I think that's how they'll try and make you empathetic to Abbys plight/journey. But this is all just speculation.

I really don't know what you guys are attempting to accuse me of, you can keep hitting show older on my post history by the way, it's less sporadic than you claim. If you want to know why I was on a break at all and came back there are two answers for you... 1. I didn't care much about upcoming games prior to TLOU II, and 2. fucking quarantine is boring. I would have been a much more active poster if the Destiny community here was thriving more, but it's kinda dead and I ended up joining a new clan that raids all the time. That link doesn't work for me btw, also though I'm not entirely sure what you're accusing me of it's still interesting you're attacking me instead of my message.

I'm an all 3 type of guy, my Titan was the first to hit 1010 gear score though.

EDIT: Just to add on, I'm actually a long-time lurker and once upon a time (2012) did have an account here that got banned when I argued with the results of the GOTY awards they did because Portal 2 won. I pretty much argued the game was overrated and a mod didn't like it and perma'd me. Ever since I've only been a lurker especially since you used to need a paid-for email to get an account.

The search generates a new uuid - I didn;t know that. Just click your username, click postings then at the bottom 'See more'. You'll see you had a page a bit for the entire year until these threads got posted, then quickly amassed a further six pages.

I'll be honest, it looks like it took everything annoying about Uncharted 4, i.e. the really slow walking sections, the languid pace, the introspective conversations & parts where we're pushing the stick forward with zero gameplay, added some highly questionable character designs into what is essentially a lesbian chick flick & voilà, we get The Last of Us 2. I'm okay if that's what some people like, i.e. I'm sure there's an audience for this stuff. But where I draw the line is when the people who not want their games & characters taking this route are called names (bigots, misogynists, phobes of every sort). I don't call people who don't enjoy Die Hard movies "man haters". So I expect the same courtesy in return.

There's a market for everyone, genres for everyone. That's fine. But this Last of Us 2 game is absolutely not for me. At all. I cannot sit there & control these characters or listen to them because I find them & their story totally uninteresting. They're ugly, ridiculous, unrealistic & annoying.

You need to hit see more, go top page 8 and then view older posts, I have multiple pages of posts dating all the way back to August. Feel free to actually peruse my full post history, by the way you need to keep hitting page 8 and keep hitting show older until you hit August, I haven't counted how many pages of posts but it's a decent amount. Also why are you questioning my motives? Does someone need a better motive than "I'm excited for game" to defend the game? Also what would you even report me for?

I think it's a heavy scene-based game now. It's getting closer to a David Cage style of game when he was experimenting in Beyond: Two Souls. I'm still interested in the Ellie story, and I don't see the point of having Joel survive all that stuff in the first game to be brought back and then killed nonchalantly in the second. It diminishes the journey.

Some of the leaked footage already making me grit my teeth. Cramped environments, poor shooting mechanics and a shedload of enemies thrown in there like a rumble cage. Reminds me of some painful encounters in UC3 which I'm rpelaying currently.

With regards to the scrutiny yeah, you can't make any sort of criticism otherwise you're an alt-righter or bigot etc. We saw it the past year. It's just a way to escape the argument. Also when you have the creators disingenuously using the Kurt Cobain poster then it sets the scene. There's a place where you can laugh and say that character model is fkn stupid lol, and not be a 'phobe or anything.

False comparison for one simple reason. Combat sport competition is organized by weight class. If you get too big and heavy, you can find yourself without anyone to fight without a perceived size advantage. This is particularly an issue in women's MMA.

Yeah, again, my posting history isn't sporadic until recently. You're right that other people like to accuse people of nefarious bs when they can't handle actually arguing the points, though.

What does knowing voice actors have to do with anything? I didn't know being able to recognize voice actors was a requirement for loving a game.

I won't miss you, I'm only responding because the idea anyone else is going to believe this crap makes me nauseous. You still haven't even come out and said what you're actually accusing me of which is a big part of why I'm so confused. Like... yes I've been gone for a few months from the forum and yes most my new posts are concering TLOU II? So?? Were my old posts about TLOU? If I'm some agenda-driven poster shouldn't my agenda track across my entire posting history? Which again you haven't looked into, when you go to postings after 8 pages you can do view older, and you can keep doing that until the end. There are 55 pages of posts from me, not 8.
