There might not be much to leak. The only thing might be the GPU clock speed, and since it's variable that doesn't tell you much. The other thing would be the price and developers aren't going to know that.

That wouldn't be much reason to not leak official specs though.

That the TMU and RT share the same cache doesn't mean they are the same unit.

It is simple. Nvidia has RT cores that accelerate everything, including the BVH generation. AMD does not, and that is primarily why their RT implementation is so bad. Them using TMUs to do that part is the equivalent of using pixel shaders which are non-dedicated, to handle RT period. It can be done, but it will not perform well.

When you see both AMD and Nvidia cards running a game at ~80fps without RT, then the second you turn on RT, the Nvidia card takes a 20% performance hit dropping to 64fps but the AMD card takes a whopping 50% hit and drops to 40fps... you did better start taking it seriously.

The problem with them making the Pro a huge upgrade is that it will lessen the jump when they release the PS6, personally I'd rather them focus on getting it out sooner with a good perf increase but not so much it makes next gen look disappointing.

Bolded is what I was replying to. 10% bought PS4 Pro, but at the time Sony released PSVR as well, which needed a slight powerboost. Hence the 2 GPUs and a lil bit of extra RAM to increase performance.
Having an edge over Xbox for a year was an added bonus.

This gen is entirely different. So unless Sony wants to aim for those 10% sales, most of which likely double-dip, there really is barely any need for a Pro.
PSVR2 is solid enough and there isn't any competition this gen.

I actually just started learning blender do you know how to use/add ray tracing to your projects on it? I wanted to add rt shadows and lighting to a shadow model

It's not something you add to projects as such but based on the render engine you use for the output. Switch the Render Engine from Eevee to Cycles and your renders will now use a ray tracing. Make sure you have the Cycles render devices set correctly in Preferences -> System. E.g. if you have an Nvidia card then pick OptiX and tick your GPU. For the Scene then make sure the Device for the render is set to GPU Compute. Lots of other options in there too.

hell yeah IMO you can never have too much graphical power. and it's not a constant level of value, your GPU/CPU becomes less valuable every day. it's not a question of should I/shouldn't I, it's simply a question of when should I.

I think this will just be $100 more, but they are able to drop the price of the base PS5. I think they will save it if they need some price flexibility when XSX2 comes out or if sales dip a bit.

Indeed. People actually waiting for this thing are realistically expecting about 4070 performance (raster and RT). But oddly those against it are expecting 4090 performance, I wonder why. I am pretty sure it's the perfect way to be disappointed.
