The RT on PS5 looks really dogshit based on that sample. Wonder why they even forcing it. Just use higher settings or resolution in quality mode and dump that RT on base model. Its not worth it

Yeah the characters are garbage mostly. Some of the environments however look really nice, if a little generic.

Everything right for a PC release:

- on Steam at launch
- great port
- no ea origin login required
- has regional pricing
- no denuvo or any 3rd party DRM

Completely relying on the game's own merits to perform well and it's quite surprising to see this open approach from ea of all publishers.

Bioware must have pushed them to do this, as this is the make or break for the studio after Anthem bombed hard.

The visuals in the game are not impressive artistically or technically. The RTAO is essentially worthless like I've always said about it. They really should have updated Frostbite with a performant RTGI solution.

Fair enough. I do remember Eurogamer refusing to review the game as part of the boycott and John stating he hates open world games as an excuse when he gushes over BOTW and Horizon.
