All The Last of Us 2 leaks/spoilers in here and nowhere else.

The fact Drake had a daughter wasn't the problem (we're not freaking idiots), it was the fact Naughty Dog forcibly retired him after scolding his behavior the Uncharted 4 (Elena literally guilts the player controlling drake for enjoying action/adventure) & made him have a super-duper intelligent/curious/edgy attitude daughter in his "legal" retired life, i.e. a daughter who was the "heir" in a better, none "toxic masculinity" manner.

That final level in Uncharted 4 where we play as his daughter is vomit worthy because of the absolute heavy handed agenda driven characterization shoved down our throats. I get one of the defense mechanisms of the SJW is to say "ur crazy! there's no SJW agenda here!", but really, we weren't born yesterday. If Drake had a son who'd blown some pirates up on a beach, the usual suspects (aka degenerate journalists) would have spoken of "problematic toxicity". The same applies to these Last of Us 2 leaks. They reek of all the pet project preferences of the SJW's. Fat butch women who look like men, homosexuals/lesbians & infantile "feelings" driving the story to the point of parody considering the sheer level of gratuitous violence on display.

Characters who look like they take steroids & work out are not believable in that setting. I mentioned this point earlier: nations at war with starving, impoverished populations do not become Rambo. "oh but Abby is a fighter who is tough because she fights!". How about the diet? The sanitation? The impact of the weather conditions & various illnesses ranging from severe to mild colds? Just look at Europe in 1945 after 6 years of severe combat: people didn't become "tough", they physically regressed.

So Druckmann & co can take their man-woman muscle fantasies & shove them where they belong, i.e. precisely in the "fantasy" section of storytelling.

If he had a son, the SJWs would complain, but since he had a daughter we instead need to endure rants by people like you about how it's some SJW agenda. Both sides are annoying.

Btw have someone uploded the ending cinematics or anything like that?
I've only seen the part with the horses in the forest and the short golf club clip.

I don't care about this game at all I am just curious about the ending.
Also ND's Twitter seems like a free for all. Some reason ND doesn't care about filtering or trying to delete comments. If you sift through enough comments, people are posting clips too.

It's amazing how ND doesn't seem to really care anymore. Maybe they just gave up.

Believe it or not, there's still a tiny part of me that thinks these leaks are bogus to trick gamers. The game has different content and story. Then again, it seems like too much effort to to do that.

Not much they can do and they know it. Even if they could contact Twitter and get them to take the tweets down then it'll just reappear again.
And how long would they keep it up? People will keep posting until the game is out :p.

And then we have the equidistants like you, who would complain about people complaining while trying to give themselves a false image of objectivity, when in reality we know you are here just for the SJW damage control.

Like in every other thread about the matter.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me whether I will get a chance to play as Joel in this game? I'm avoiding all spoilers and even scared to check back, but I'll risk it for this answer.

Or they could have simply pulled their own head out of their backside, not retired Drake (i.e. left the door open for another dev to continue the series) & not given him a future scene 10+ years on in order to end the franchise forever (i.e. a future scene similar to Harry Potter which JK Rowling probably regrets right now).

Because that was Naughty Dogs intention, aka a "we're ending this series & the future is female". Fuuuuck that.

That's all.

That's exactly the point.

Female lead character? That's social justice warrior pandering.

Making a lead white male character? This needs to change!

Making minority cast? There it goes again with diversity!

Female lead character beating up a man character? More SJW propaganda! A woman cannot beat up a man!

Female lead character getting beaten by a male character? This toxic male rage

You can't create what you want. People on the left side can be influenced based on politics and so can people on the right. If people are making a good and compelling story that doesn't push politics in the story line, then why should it matter?

People are just easily triggered.

What exactly is SJW damage control? What does this mean? The thing is you already admitted you haven't even played the first one, you're in here to argue because you enjoy stirring the pot and provoking people, I'm not an equidistant, I'm a fan of TLOU.

I already explained what Nathan's legacy is, but did you just assumed girls can't have dicks? HOW FUCKING DARE YOU YOU HEATHEN MISOGYNISTIC TRANSPHOBIC PRIVILEGED OPPRESOR!

You didn't explain why a daughter can't carry it on.

Why? Why does Uncharted need to go on forever and always star Nathan Drake? What's inherently wrong with their decisions?

Let's retire Super Mario & give him a daughter. Or Link in Zelda. Same thing. Let's just retire all the male action heroes & give them daughters to carry the baton.

It's not innocent storytelling we're discussing here, i.e. this stuff has ideological roots.

You realize Uncharted is trying to present at least semi-realistic people right? Nathan Drake might do crazy fucking shit in the games but he's not fucking Mario or Link or something, he's meant to be a human who exists in our world. He's had a love interest since the beginning off and on, the idea that one day he'd have to stop doing this and settle down MAKES COMPLETE SENSE. He's a human, not an unaging Italian plumber who can kill things by jumping on their heads.

There's a clear difference.

In real life, men do the hard tasks that require physical, athletical capabilities while risking their life in the process. It's literally evolution, men go on “adventures” to hunt, found new places, found supplies, etc... Women kept themselves at home raising the children. Because biologically, men are prepared to go on adventures -even our sense of orientation it's far better-, while women are prepared to nurture.

It's reality, it's what has happened through the history of mankind. Do the opposite is literally go out of your way to change what is natural and trying to claim that is also natural that women do what men do because they are as capable as men to do so. But they aren't, that's not reality, it's a political statement based on the fragile ego of some women.

Men and women are different. A Nathan Drake son following his father steps it's believable, a daughter isn't. That's why the obvious choice in the first place was a son and even Cuckmann subconsciously knew that, but he went out of was realistic and normal to put a little progressive poster child teen girl as the succesor of Nathan Drake.

And that's the point of all this, trying to make us believe that women are the same as men, that women can beat up two males at once, that a little girl can do everything Nathan has done. But it's not realistic, men are far more suited to physical tasks, it is what it is.

Maybe if the next entrance of the Uncharted series was a cooking game, then Cassie can bring the Drake's name to new horizons. Who knows.

But that silly girl can't hold Nathan's legacy in any believable way.

Is all this based on the idea that we're meant to assume his daughter gets into the same shit as him? Because we aren't required to assume that. Also it's weird how off you're going on this tangent about women don't do stuff when Uncharted borrowed heavily from the Tomb Raider series, maybe giving him a daughter is a partial nod to those games?

well fingers crossed for you that maybe if there's a new Uncharted game, you can play as Nathan Drake's daughter and just not fight back in any combat situation and she'll get killed over and over and over again and then you can stand up and yell at the screen: "SEE! I told you! Women can't fight!" And then you'll smugly cross your arms and smile to yourself, having been vindicated. I see it all for you now, keep that dream alive!

So I think some cunt on Facebook has spoiled the ending for me. I haven't read anything in this topic on the possibility that this was a big joke. I've literally come down to the bottom of the page to reply. If someone doesn't mind reading the spoiler and giving some comforting news that it's a joke I would appreciate it. Or maybe drop the bomb for me that its true.

Joel is killed by Ellie and then Ellie is killed by someone else.

Can you imagine if videogames were realistic for real and gave real consequences to it's characters?

Can you imagine a little girl killed because feminists told them she can do everything a man does? And then she goes, gets raped and murdered and we see all the aftermath.

As a social commentary, that game would be amazing.

SJWs saying women don't "have to" dress sexy to be a videogame character. Thing is, nobody ever said anyone "HAD" to do anything except the SJW.

The thing that really annoys me about that stuff especially is that sexiness is like the one and only character trait that some people just demand a justification for, and the justification basically boils down to that the character needs to be a straight up succubus or something. Because apparently no woman would ever be sexual or dress in a skimpy way unless she's a '' harlot '' which is a strangely regressive view to have for people who claim to be progressive.
Like it's so impossible for some people to imagine that a mage for example would just simply choose to dress in a sexy way because they can, which lets be real here most people would if they could especially if they didn't have to be judged negatively because of it like people usually aren't in fictional settings.
People in real life who are conventionally attractive show off all the damn time, people want to be admired it's very human.

It's the same with the writing too, if a character is sexy people assume that it's the only part of the character and don't even look beyond that. But if a character is just edgy or stoic then they don't do that. A character can be well-written and sexy and people will just say that the character is shallow because there's nothing else to them than sexiness and that it''s just pandering. But if a character is just stoic or edgy people won't assume that they're shallow or judge them like that lol.
Just make a character an angry psycho and people won't ask questions, but make them sexy and ERMAGHURD WHY U MUST EXPLAIN!?

Like people don't seem to understand that there are more ways than one to have fun in video games and that not everyone wants to play as a roided up brute, edgy or stoic character. Some people actually have fun and enjoy playing characters that are sexy.

People say that it's '' pandering '' too, but wtf is every other character trope/ trait then?
I mean I don't care about characters like Abby in TLOU2 here, I think that it's fine if people want characters like that too.
But don't fucking accuse characters that I like of being '' pandering '' then lol.
I don't think that characters like Abby necessarily have to be like that, it has more to do with the intent and I dunno what the intent was.
But it's so bizarre and hypocritical to accuse and assume that a character is pandering to horny teens because the character shows even just minor cleavage without knowing the intent of the artist and then go on to put out a character like Abby and get mad when you're accused of pandering.
Because it's the same thing, the whole mindset behind it is the exact same.

People who obsess so much about '' stronk female characters '' being like Abby just seem to have a really shallow view of what '' strength '' is imo. And it's funny when it's someone like Neil Druckmann too, because what he see's as a '' strong female character '' is a female character that basically is what people call toxic masculinity incarnate.
To me there's something awesome with a female character that is very feminine and is unapologetic about it, someone who doesn't apologize for being a woman and doesn't just adopt masculine tropes. It's fine to like something else and to like characters like Abby.
But it's so bizarre how people who claim to be progressive often have really shitty views on femininity and project those bad views unto others.

Games are pure fantasy.

Most of what you're doing is not real.

Drake is not going to climb a mountain with his bare hands or take on an entire group of mercenaries on his own. But when a woman wants to do the same thing, then this shouldn't be allowed because it's not believable.

Lets remove Cammy, Chun Li, Ivy, Lara Croft, Cat woman, Nina, Anna, Kasumi, Taki from video games because women aren't able to do these things.

how dare you! obviously Nathan Drake can throw a rope, line-drive from a swinging position as he's falling directly onto a rotten piece of wood without breaking a sweat. then again, he does say "ohhhhhhh crap!" as he's doing it, so I guess I believe it.

You got that all wrong. This is what happens(warning if you don't want to know then don't open):
Joel is killed by Abby.
Abby beats the crap out of both Ellie and Dina, but they are left to live out of mercy thanks to Jev
Ellie leaves Dina, still seeking revenge

Ellie does not die.

We still dunno for sure. All we know is that Ellie does not die after her confrontation with Abby.
But she does leaves Dina in the seek of revenge. After that we don't know what happens for real.

Seems you forgot your own point.

You were trying to equate playing as a man in an adventure game with playing as a woman. I'm just telling you that, like every other art, games are based in reality. And in real life, men are the ones who go on adventures, that's why it's natural for action/adventure protagonists to be men in every aspect of the cultural landscape, being cinema, literature or videogames, because it's literally real life. It's literally what has happened through the course of history.

You can obviously challenge what is real and what is normal in a videogame, but the difference is that you're challenging it out of a political ideology, while when you make a men the protagonist of any action/adventure game, you aren't doing it out of a ideology, you are literally doing what is normal.

You are one sad and bitter fucking dude... This post is honestly embarrassing to read. Do you think that female adventurers do not exist?

"Men do the hard tasks that require physical, athletic capabilities while risking their life in the process" and here you are complaining about women and feminist agendas on a video game forum. How far us modern men have fallen, I suppose.

But again, in the grand scheme of things, men have been the ones who got in “adventures”. Men are literally designed to do so, women biologically just aren't build for that.

How far us modern men have fallen

Oh, believe me, on that we agree.

Funnily enough, The Uncharted series probably wouldn't exist if it weren't for Tomb Raider.

And neither would exist without Indiana Jones.

Don't lie to me!

I saw Sonic in a movie the other day. How that's not real?

I didn't forget. I made a list of people getting triggered based on politics. You replied to me about how it wouldn't be realistic for woman to take Drake's place.

You're too deep into politics.

Regardless of what you think men and women are "built for" biologically, there are female adventurers. There are female soldiers. There are female alpinists. There are female murderers. There are female action movie stars. Etc. etc. etc. Certainly men more commonly occupy these roles--I won't disagree with that, but there's nothing outlandish about a woman playing them, either. Especially when we're talking in the context of video games, and especially those with scenarios as ridiculous and unrealistic as the ones we find in Uncharted.

It's crazy to me how people support characters like they're sports teams. Like there's being invested in them, then there's this.

Thanks to the big blockbuster reputation of TLOU (even though it's soul is closer to a well-produced indie film) People treat Joel and Ellie like they're icons from a superhero movie that's meant to inspire children, when in reality they're flawed but relatable humans. Ultimately, that's where the current disconnect for many lies based off the leaks, that they aren't being idealized.

"We think of the world, in a way, as a character,” explains Druckmann. “For you to buy into a character you have to understand their background, where they’re coming from, what experiences they’ve had. Likewise, the city of Seattle in this story has a history, where it came from, the kind of conflict that existed in the past, the kind of conflict that exists now between different groups that live in Seattle.

"And we write way more lore than you’ll see in the game as we have to have an author’s understanding of these characters and the world so we can give you hints of them. You then feel like it’s a much larger world and has a much richer history than everything you’re experiencing.

"And that’s very important to us in order to immerse you in the world and to believe in the characters. Because if we do that and you buy into the conflict then the message will come across, and the deep conflict that comes at the very end of this story will resonate.”

You're too deep into politics.

You tried to equate having a man protagonist as being as politically motivated as having a female protagonist.

And I explained to you why having a male protagonist is the default because it's literally based on reality, while going out of your way to have a woman do super athletic and physical tasks it's more based on a political stance, especially in this day and age and especially with ND.

And your friend Neil Cuckmann is the one who is deep in politics, I’m just pointing out that fact while you try to hide it.

It’s not what I think, it’s basic biology.

I understand that for some feminist allies the mention that men are much more prepared than women to overcome dangerous situations it’s a sin, it’s politically incorrect. That’s why you retorted to name calling me and “accused me” of the sin of talking about political agendas in a videogame forum. In a thread about a game with a political agenda, nonetheless.

But it's the objective truth, you like it or not.

Damn. I didn't know the game was partially (?) set in Seattle. Now I really gotta check it out at some point now...

It's not a sin at all, it's just irrelevant. Sure, men in general have much higher potential to become physically stronger, and they tend to be more willing to take risks, etc. So what? That doesn't mean exceptional women can't become stronger than the vast majority of men out there. It doesn't mean women cannot take risks, go on adventures, or become ruthless killers.

Sounds like it ends with Ellie & Abby feud going into the next game.

And there you go again, always using politics. The point was to show that people are always viewing games based on politics. No matter how you design your game, you're going to trigger one group or the other.

No.

In most cases, people just want to see something different. People love variety. That's the main motivating factor. It becomes political when people BELIEVE that it needs to happen and that a specific character has to be represented in a specific way.

Having a female characters give you more options to create something different.

You're too focused on politics.

Not nesserily majority gamers just want play games and couldn't give two shit if there playing as someone who female male or identifies as the supposedly other 98 genders (that totally disagree with myself) but it won't trigger me.

Not at all, she's the best thing that ever happened to me.

I’m sorry you think you have to be a feminist to love women.

Someday she will finally love you.

Even exceptional women would be just mediocre above men.

You take any physical sport and the best women would be bested by the run of the mill men in the same sport. I mean, the legendary US soccer team is destroyed by 14 years old nobodys.

How many trans are beating female world records when they let them compete as females?

Even women complain that it’s not fair to let trans compete against them once they get utterly destroyed.

Sorry, but the difference is too big.

I just think there's people who get offended by everything. It's not always people playing the games, but those outside of it too.

Back in 2013, an Animals Rights group wanted to boycott GTAV.

People were even upset that you could kills dogs in the Last of Us.

Unfortunately, this inevitably means you'll have to "deal" with the dogs, and a number of journalists recounted harrowing tales of having to brutally put down enemy pooches - an experience made even worse by the fact that their owners could stumble across their bloody remains and scream in anguish, as any of us surely would if someone hacked our beloved pet to death.

This is stupid. We're not talking about competitive sports. We're talking about whether women can be Nathan Drake-like adventurers. Yes, they can. They can climb, move quickly, be plenty strong, operate weapons, etc. Your whole position was that Nathan Drake's daughter couldn't carry on his legacy because she's a girl, and that's just ridiculous, even ignoring that we're talking about a video game in which anything can happen.

Also, you should check out some female powerlifters. No, they aren't putting up the same numbers as equivalent male competitive powerlifters--of course not, but they would absolutely destroy any random gymbro, and are actually impressive as hell in terms of lift weight vs. body weight ratios regardless of sex.
