I would argue good portion are not even offended they are simply doing it because they love have somthing to moan about. You make it sound like she's going to, as a teenager, just have the same abilities as her dad did in her prime. Of course there would have to be a journey and lots of experience to get close to his level. You played as kid Nate in Uncharted 3 for a bit, and he didn't have the same capabilities. There's no indication or even signaling in the ending that the next adventure is just going to resume with her, as a teenager, going out and slaughtering mercenaries. It just shows that she is interested in adventuring, too.

That could also be said about TLOU1.
It was essentially an interactive movie with cut-scenes, a lot of walking and some short segments with actual, heavily scripted, gameplay.
But it was mainly a movie with a story of growth and bondiong where you very skillfully get very attached to the characters as they start bonding with eachother and you with them.
I think a big reason why the games is so beloved is the strong emotional bond it built between you and the characters
and not the short, and imho not remarkable, gameplay segments.

In that sense I would be surprised if TLOU2 would be very different. Mostly cut-scenes and some part very scripted gameplay.

As for the spoilers.Sure they do look like they lean heavy towards SJW concepts but that is not a big problem.
Many games have aspects I strongly dislike but I have become very good at ignoring and pretending the aspects that annoy me are not there and enjoy the rest.
If anything, the leaks makes me much more eager to play this game. It seems to have plot items that will be very divisive and where I am really curious on how are they going to make this work. How will they make me feel good and happy when playing this character
that are doing all these things. I am really curious on this and can not wait to get a chance to play it.

Druckmann may be an sjw but he is not unintelligent. Making all these very risky choices when it comes to the plot is interesting. I can't wait to play it and see how he solves the obvious issue of "and now I will play xyz and do abc"?. But also, I think a lot of people will be very upset if these leaks are correct.

I think TLOU was taken as kind of step forward in game entertainment to a degree, well, they gave it right back and than some. It will still sell, the IP is dead though, imo, if they release it like this. The overall product probably is good and solid... they royally fucked up the story and interaction/dialogue which is why people gave some of the negatives of the game play a pass on the first one.

I agree with this 100%. People need to realize that this is a huge game probably 20+ hours (they've said it is 50% bigger in length & scope than the first one).

There is a bigger cast this time around, and the game is on two disks. Neil and the voice actors/actresses have all said "Nobody loves this character(s) more than I do. We care for them so much." Joel is also still a center show in this game, we've already seen two flashback scenes with him and Troy Baker said this game truly peels back his layers and the character he is.

They have also said this game is not told chronologically and there are flashbacks are time hopes. We very well will probably meet Abby within the first few hours of the game. There aren't just going to throw in this random and have her beat up Joel and force us to play as her. There's much more than what we have seen and when the full game comes together I am pretty sure they will be able to match or exceed the first game in quality. Does this mean everyone is going to agree with where they take the story? No. But if a story is good, a story is good. And the fact that a lot of people are already debating Abby and Joel before we even know the full story tells me that this is what they want.

As Troy Baker put it, "If we have done our job right, people will question everything [about The Last of Us 2]. I want [fans] to be able to challenge their own ideas about what this game is, what this world is, who the characters are — everything.”

Well, the truth is that its Naughty Dog, and their track-record is as good as any studio in the history of the industry. So all things being equal, I'd expect the game to end up on a shit-load of GOTY lists and sell millions of units.

Hmmm. That could actually work. You start playing Abbey doing good things for her friends and build an emotional bond with her.
Then once you are fully emotionally invested in her and like her, you learn the backstory of Joel murdering her father and then watch the cut-scene where she kills Joel.
There you have a scenario where a character you have bonded with and feel emotionally attached to, suddenly have reasons to hate Joel and then kill him, another character you are invested in and love.

That could work. Said it before. Day one purchase. I want to see how they will handle these VERY divisive and risky plot items.

The action in the game will probably be similar to the first game with brutal kills in a grubby broken apocalyptic world.

Just a matter how much you value Joel, since it seems he's going to be killed off early in the game (looks like somewhere in the first half of the game). While the end game seems like a showdown between 3 females Ellie, Dina and Abby.

If you loved Joel, or simply want some more lead characters being guys in the story, you'll probably hate the story. If you don't care, it'll probably make no difference to you.

These are scenes that make you fall in love with these characters. In a 25+ hour game, you're bound to get at least 3 hours worth of cut-scenes and we only saw less than 20 minutes altogether?

I love using the Walking Dead as example, and i'm going to do it again.

People were so upset that Negan killed Glenn and they wanted to stop watching the show.

I didn't want to quit watching the show, I just wanted to see Negan die.


I read a short article telling me how Negan was going to die. But, as it turns out, he wasn't going to die. He was going to join them.

Did I think it was stupid? No. I just didn't like Negan at all.

Wait a minute. I thought it was cool to see Negan in a fighting game...

...but I still wanted to see the character die and that was never going to happen. So, I just stopped watching it for awhile.

I came back to the show after they defeated Negan and he was locked away in a cell.

My entire opinion of him changed after watching his entire redemption arc. This is something I couldn't gasp by just reading a few sentences.



A lot of fans seem to have agreed too.

I think most TLOU fans who are upset are going to feel differently about Abby once the game is over. We still haven't played her story. We know nothing about it other than her father was a surgeon and that she's out for revenge.

First, Negan has charisma, Abby looks like a bunch of meat, a knucklehead. We have seen the scene in which she was happy to kill a pregnant teen, but when her asian trans boyfriend called her, she changed her mind in one second (amazing script).

I don't know if seeing Abby caring about her friends is going to be enough to be a likeable character.

I even doubt Nostrilina is even going to be a likeable character. And the asian dude who is going to be cuckolded and then murdered it's going to receive pity, for sure. But again, is he going to be a likeable character?

The sports which women have the best bet at winning are the ones that have the least amount of physical interaction. Which is actually a hard thing to compare sometimes since most of the time they aren't even allowed to compete in the same tournaments, since everyone knows men's teams will likely crush a women's team.

However for things that don't have a physical contact element...... I'm go take a guess like darts, platform diving, curling etc..... for sure a female (or team) can win.

A great example just to show the difference is read up on Serena and Venus Williams thinking they are big shots. They lost in an untelevised (too bad) match against a 200-300 ranked guy who drank, smoked and even said came back from playing golf that day. He destroyed them. I forget which sister it was, but one of them I think even quit. When interviewed later, the guy even laughed about it.

Joel wasn't a hero. He was a good guy in his own story maybe, but he was actually a very bad person. After he and Ellie get ambushed in pittsburgh and she asks him how he knew it was an ambush, it's clear he's done the same in the past. Tommy says he have nightmares because of the things they did to survive. Joel is a psycho.
David's people saw Joel and Ellie as evil because they killed many of their friends.

So Abby coming for them is not something new to the series. Joel and Ellie are not the good guys, nor is Abby.

I'm very specific in my comment. I don't know anything about the other sports your giving me data on. I'm only speaking from first hand experience about fighting, which is actually more relevant to this game then those sports you mention. Also, I'm agreeing with you guys. Men are much, much stronger.

Its hard to imagine that this can be salvage, imo, based on what has been leaked. As I mentioned, unless the leaks are completely out of content, it looks like a disaster. (see my prior post please) I am not saying this game won't still sell quite a few copies - it probably will sell a butt load, and heck, I like the actually game play.

I would put this up there with MEA as far as clusterfuck shit going on, at least with this... people will still probably end up with a decent game play experience though.
