That's probably why Nadella was contemplating shutting down Xbox back in 2021.That explains poor sales of Lego Horizon and Astro Bot.
MS definitely thinks long term.

You're telling me MS bought the biggest publisher around and now MS is the biggest publisher around for the month or so their biggest game released?Time and time again this forum has been bitching and whining about Microsoft. But when I said multiple times that going 3rd party was a win for everyone and that they were going to be the biggest publisher around, I was laughed at.
Without Microsoft Sony players (me included) have almost nothing to look forward too. Everybody wins here.
So don't report it?LOL, how is this "news"? They bought the largest 3rd party publisher in the world... It's now somehow surprising that they had a month where they were the biggest publisher after buying the biggest publisher? Let's do better...
They don’t need Playstation. They need Playstation players.I really don't see why. Microsoft needs PlayStation. Sony does not need Xbox.
So don't report it?
They don’t need Playstation. They need Playstation players.
Which can easily be brought to other side by pulling a rug.
I dont think he's trolling, he probably believes what he's saying. It's just that he's incredibly stupid.Report what? Exactly?
Have we seen reports on the #1 publisher in any previous month? For the year?
Is trolling that much fun? Do you get an dopamin release?

Xbox games sell better on PlayStation?
The last thing that an Xbox zealot should ever attempt to highlight is poor sales. Your favorite box just sold less than 5 million in its 4th year on sale. Where’s your drunken spin on that? That explains poor sales of Lego Horizon and Astro Bot.

Instead, they bought gaming. That's probably why Nadella was contemplating shutting down Xbox back in 2021.
And it doesn't really seem to be paying off if spending on non-playstation platforms is declining, while not boosting GP subs in a significant way, if at all.Instead, they bought gaming.
That and that Xbox games likely sell more on PlayStation than PlayStation first party games too.Pretty much the only takeaway from this
It’s an investment. Takes time. Could have been worse, like buying the studio Firewalk. And it doesn't really seem to be paying off if spending on non-playstation platforms is declining, while not boosting GP subs in a significant way, if at all.

But do they bring in the same amount as that Game* and it’s microtransactions? Did they this last year? Will they this year?Game*
Sony has plenty of games that sell a shit load.
Helldivers II did very well last year, so maybe? Not sure. They are getting 30% of CoD, while 100% of HDII.But do they bring in the same amount as that Game* and it’s microtransactions? Did they this last year? Will they this year?
That it did. I bought it and some DLC as well. But again, does 100% profit from a plant based hotdog make you more than 30% of a porterhouse steak that sells insane numbers?Helldivers II did very well last year, so maybe? Not sure. They are getting 30% of CoD, while 100% of HDII.

You all understand this is because of Activision? They literally bought their market share. What was Activision is now counted as Microsoft.Sony will probably want a piece of pie too.
Expect Nintendo to get left behind.
Everything has always and will forever be Microsoft. You all understand this is because of Activision? They literally bought their market share. What was Activision is now counted as Microsoft.

I wonder how first party Sony games sales stack up against Call of Duty profits on PlayStation.
Did Sony profit more from their own games, or from Call of Duty and its microstransactions?
I always wondered why so many were against it. When Microsoft is happy, we’re all happy.Cool, and PS now looks to be even more dominant for their games with the Xbox platform cratering in sales
Sony gets even more 30% cut as their share of platform spend grows
The Activision acquisition looks to be an awesome deal for Sony now in retrospect

You’re confusing Microsoft with Xbox.Fully explains Microsoft's No Red Lines strategy.
Wild that Playstation went from being Microsoft's biggest competition to the entity keeping the lights on at Microsoft studios.
They need Playstation to keep the MS gaming division running.

Ironically as MS embraces their new third part role Xbox will become more and more irrelevant as its replaced by Playstation until it ceases to exist.
When I say MS studios I mean Microsoft Gaming Studios aka. Xbox game Studios + Activision. You’re confusing Microsoft with Xbox.
You do know the Microsoft has like, a shit ton more money than Sony, right?
I do agree MS is releasing a lot of games but honestly without MS I'm still doing fine. There is to much to play for me right now. KCD2, DS2, Ghost, Trails through daybreak 2, AC Shadows, GTA 6, MH wilds, Ender Lillies sequel. That's just off the top of my head. On top of that I can guarantee you I wont get to all those games this year and this doesn't even include my backlog which is massive.Without Microsoft Sony players (me included) have almost nothing to look forward too. Everybody wins here.

If that didn't lock this thread, as there is nothing more left to say, I don't know what would. God dammnnnn bruh!Yeah not really news when you buy up all the donuts at the bakery and become the fattest guy around
Give a rundown of the games they put out in the PS3 era vs PS4 and 5sI think Sony makes way more on third party royalties, PS+ subs, and money from PSN transactions. That explains why software wise, they’ve been extremely lazy the last two gens. That’s also why MS will fight off dropping Xbox hardware as long as possible. Their own ecosystem they control where they get all those royalties and subs and digital cuts is way too enticing. But the next hardware won’t be cheap, they’ll have to offset lowered sales projections with a higher price tag.
When everything is an Xbox, very fucking well.Give a rundown of the games they put out in the PS3 era vs PS4 and 5s

How’s all that Microsoft money working out for the Xbox platform?
Yeah, things usually sound better in your mind than when they’re written out. When everything is in my head, very fucking well.

“Xbox is going the way of Sega!”
Xbox is the #1 game publisher in the world:

Then why have we not fallen for the rug pull up to now? That is one of Xbox’s problems. There is no magic to this. Nobody has to be conned. Just put out good games and people will play them. If they had been doing that all along instead of sending mixed signals about Xbox/Game Pass I believe they would be in much better shape on the hardware side. They don’t need Playstation. They need Playstation players.

You say that like it’s a bad thing.Makes sense.
Microsoft are making more money as a third party publisher than making exclusives for Xbox/PC.
