X-Play was the only thing I saw that truly felt like they loved gaming on TV. Everything out there was 'GAMING IS CORRUPTING THE YOUTH' and other such dribble. School you were mocked for enjoying games (my have times changed), and I felt like I had a connection to the cast of the show. I used to look up to Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb. They were these cool adults who played video games for a living!

Over time gaming became more acceptable of a hobby and by the time Wii released, it was everywhere. I started dropping off of TechTV/G4 around this time as I found online communities (such as 1UP) and just enjoyed playing games with other like-minded individuals online.

Sad to see that Adam has become such a repugnant person. Utterly devoid of any respect and so entrenched in the cult-like mentality of the far-left. Morgan Webb seems to have fared better, at least given how little I see of her or horrendous hot takes.

To me, I will still continue to remember Sessler as the goofy dumbass who hosted Xplay, not the ego-centric cunt waffle who ran Rev3Games, bitched about achievements, and openly promotes harassment and doxxing.

Here's the thing that seems hard for some to digest today, there is a difference between hatred or attacking somebody...and criticism...

Back in the day Webb and Sessler were tolerable, hell, Sessler even went after Jack Thompson (and rightfully so)

However since then Sessler went off the deep end, like many journalists went "woke" and attacked those who helped give him a soapbox to stand on in the first place, oh and as previously mentioned he's pro doxxing...

I was able to ask him a question over Google Hangouts. We talked about the questionable Kojima and Moby Dick Studios.

Then their return together when Fallout 4 was announced.

It's an interesting tool he's peddling, but I wonder since it doesn't really solve any of the problems it claims it can identify, how situational is its true value, given development timelines and depleted budgets. "We could have told you this game was gonna bomb 2 months before release" doesn't help much when 95% of its design is complete and 100% of development costs have already been spent. I guess they want publishers to bring them in early or.. is it guaging public perception of your game they are interested in, and reporting it back to you at specific intervals, or also in influencing perception? Cause there is really a short window I would guess and even if you know interest or sentiment is low or whatever by some point I mean it's likely already too late in most cases to turn the thing into a smash success.

He didn't play most of the games he reviewed. That's not a bad thing in his case. He knows the inner workings of gaming. When you work on a show, you have gamers that play and write the script reviewing the game. They then hand it to the TV host to read. He would never have time to be a TV host AND play 100 hour games at the same time. In his interviews, you can see and hear he is a legit gamer, unlike access journoz.
