My only let down so far is there doesn't seem to be much in the way of actually discussing games people are playing. I've only seen a 2-3 game OTs on the front page and they were all for shooters I don't care about (Division 2, Apex Legends and CoD are the ones I can remember seeing). That's probably just due to being a smaller community as Era is still pretty active with OTs for even smaller games. It's just not worth the non-sense moderation and extremism. There's always game-specific sub-reddits--even though I don't like the Reddit format or younger users base that much--when I want to chat about or ask for help in a game that lacks an OT here.

I think it's also reflective of the fact that it's a slow time for games right now. There aren't any big new releases to talk about. I agree that if you're into smaller games, e.g., indies, GAF can be a tough place to generate a conversation. But the bigger games tend to get a fair amount of discussion. The most recent big releases that I remember (Death Stranding and Outer Worlds) both had sizeable discussions. Not huge discussions, but meaty, and personally I find discussion on huge forums to be unwieldy -- you can't really have a back-and-forth conversation, because the crowd is so noisy. This forum is right-sized, at least for me, and of course lacks the authoritarian SJW mods that Reee has.

I was such a big fan of his as a teen, he was pretty much my hero, I was totally obsessed with X-Play.

As for Sessler, I remember the dynamic duo; Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb. Webb was every gamer's fantasy girlfriend; a little cute, a little sexy, smart, sassy mouth and a serious gamer! Who could pass that up?!?! And Sessler was pretty cool. They made excellent hosts, up until he left. I trusted Adam's reviews, because we seemed to share a lot of tastes in gaming and liked the same things, and complained about the same things. Ahhh...my childhood, how wonderful it was.

Now, I'm looking at this douche wondering wtf happened to him?!? I guess, when you're on TV and all you have to do is talk about gaming, and that's all you're talking about (not your political views, or views on feminists, trans, etc.), it's easy to like you.
