Wants protagonists to make his peepee soft
As mentioned around August 2023, Bungie's been working on a new IP under the codename Gummy Bears.

And now, Jan 10th, we have some more details

  • A PvP team-based competitive game.
  • While fundamentally a MOBA, the game’s “Smash Bros.” influences mean it feels distinct from other entries in the genre; falling off maps, and replacing health-bar eliminations.
  • Multiple game modes are planned.
  • Gummy Bears is described as having lo-fi and cozy vibes, a sharp departure from Bungie’s usual dramatic, high-stakes sci-fi worlds.
  • The project has been praised internally as Bungie’s “most fun” project out of incubation.
  • The game is targeting a younger demographic with vibrant, colorful visuals.
  • Expect a variety of roles, including Support, Attack, and Defense classes.
  • Gummy Bears has been in development for at least three years.
Thoughts?

We already have this (not even joking, literally down to the mechanics described in the bulletpoints) and it's called SUPERVIVE. It's a lot of fun actually, even made a thread for it this week!

A PS5 exclusive game targeting a younger audience? I didn't know kids even played on console still. Think about the complete absence of cheap cash-in branded kids games this gen. There are zero unless you count Spiderman 2.

Who said anything about ps5 exclusive?

It will be on everything including phones and tablets

At this point, the guys at Bungie must be betting on how much they can troll the Dutch clown before Totoki-san grabs his katana. They need to get disbanded for yesterday.

The eye-searing neon purple gets a big "no thanks" from me. Also, I don't like MOBAs , so double whammy.
Your loss.

I mean I have no love for MOBA's myself but the battle royale approach with Supervive made the formula a lot more enjoyable (also because of WASD movement).

MOBA is pretty much the only genre left I haven't played or clicked with. I don't have an opinion on this one really. Not for me.
