Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Eggs for 15 dollars!!!????

😨😨😨😨😱

What are they made of gold???

Here in Mexico they cost 2 dollars a dozen and it is too expensive.

The avocado here is 2 or 3 dollars per kilogram.

1 kilogram of fruits combined is 1.50 $ dollars.

I don't know where that dude is, maybe California or somewhere. Fortunately eggs haven't gotten that expensive here yet.

12 white eggs are $4.99 to $6.99 in my part of VA, depending on if they're cage free or however they distinguish it.

Brown eggs are more expensive for some reason.

Once when I went to a farm as a child, I asked why the eggs were different colors, the farmer told me because they gave him a special herb 🤨.

Eggs here for a generic dozen are around 4-5 USD right now in this part of Florida, which is elevated, but nothing not seen before.

Mexico caved today and so did panama.

Might be a nothing burger and tarrifes go away.

Canada though..we have a liberal french fuck as prime minister who will fuck us.
I can see prices here go up crazy
In fact, Mexico did not give in, we were even saved from the tariffs for the moment... Our president saved us in the morning.

Well yeah, you’re in the motherland where outlandish tariffs don’t exist! 😂

I’m insanely jealous though.

Thanks America. Just making everyday life even more fucking expensive for regular everyday people.

I’m seeing the price of literally everything raise significantly right before my eyes here in Canada.

Games are already 100 dollars here. I’m not buying anything that isn’t from a premium developer with a good track record anymore. No more experimenting with new games
Youre lucky you're not Australian.

ESA is the group that used to run E3 right?
They are the lobbying group of gaming corporations (all your favorite ones from Sony to MS to Nintendo) created to stop the government from regulating video games in the 90s after the mortal Kombat, doom and night trap histeria. They run the esrb rating board and E3, they also lobby the government to prevent them from banning loot boxes and every other tactic they use to fuck the consumer over. They also claim emulation is piracy and theft, fuck em. Bunch of snakes.

I haven't heard anything about them since E3 died.

All I see are two sides coming to a deal.

The difference is the US didn't have to agree to do anything for Canada outside of pausing the tariff for 30 days. Canada had to agree to all of the US's terms just to get a 30 day reprieve. If Canada doesn't do what they agree to do within that 30 days deadline, tariffs restart. Canada absolutely caved in this negotiation. Canada exports over 70% of its goods from the US. They have little to no leverage. If they try to retaliate with tariffs, it would just destroy their own economy. Canada is much more reliant on the US than the US is reliant on Canada.

Canada didn’t have to agree either. I don’t agree that Canada caved on anything. Don’t forget that Canada is a G7 nation and can find other buyers for our exports.
What I think is this:
- Trump needs a distraction while running his takeover and removal of checks and balances;
- Trump was advised that this would severely damage the livelihoods of his voter base;
- Trump will sell it as a win for his base, when in reality, it accomplished nothing of merit between Canada and US besides getting Canadians to be anti-US and having other allies already considering counter-tariffs.
-Tariffs would mark a dramatic failure of one of his key election platforms which is to lower the cost of living. He already failed on his Ukraine promise of solving the war within 24hours.

His approval rating is at its all time high, and tariffs was on his agenda. So this isn't a surprise to his voter base. Tariffs on Canada will not have much impact on the average American. China is the elephant in the room and the one country that can play on equal footing with the US. Energy cost is what will ultimately drive cost of living down, not the lack of tariffs. Tariffs is a tool that many other countries in the world utilize. It's not some novel concept that is just now being used.

Pres Trump and his team knows what they are doing after lesson learned from Pres Trump first term and from allot of mistakes from Democrat. USA know they are in the advantage and those country sanctioned with "reasonable" tarrifs will greatly suffer more if they do the same against USA. And about gaming price will rise, Sony or other companies are wise and they will just build factories in USA which in turn create jobs for American and they will receive goverment incentives. And also they will have an option to move there business out of China and invest in other countries.

China is NOT on equal footing with the US. They nuked Taiwan without a single word, just through the sheer power of counterfeit AI. They are miles ahead and at this point you better start learning mandarin.

I’ve already done that for many many years.

This is my way:

* Epic free games
* Steam sales
* Gamepass cheap stacking deals
* Steam full price or premium editions - when I absolutely know I’ll like the game or want to support the dev like with Stalker 2.

And for hardware I strategically invest in stocks between upgrades. Has worked out well so far but the trumpet will probably cause a global economy crash so for now I lay low until I see where things are going.

I get that they're negotiating. But that was not the angle of the made up story you quoted.. You know, it's not that hard to detect the horrible reek of shit from MAGA "sources". We should keep that kind smell out of this place.
Only if you keep your corporate doofus sources out. There's a reason those " serious news" companies have no credibility anymore.

You're actually delusional. Canada and Mexico didn't cave to shit. Trump scrambled like a fucking cuck the second Mexico and Canada stood up to him and held firm with counter tariffs. It took Trump 2 days to back the fuck off his hardcore promise that nothing could stop this.

All the stuff Mexico and Canada supposedly "caved" on was already planned. The 1.3 billion for border security was a deal struck in December with Biden ( You can see the government announcement about it here: https://www.canada.ca/en/public-saf...rder-security-and-our-immigration-system.html ). Trump is just claiming victory over it because he has to do something to make this look like anything other than a total disaster when he backs off.

All Trump managed to do was increase anti-american sentiment around the world. Countries are re-evaluating US partnerships, trying to form alternative alliances / trade deals. America just lost a ton of good will, trust, and soft power to gain nothing. It's the worst foreign policy I've ever seen if you actually give a shit about the well being of America. Of course all of this is a distraction to the fact that Social Security, Medicaid, and other federal bodies are all being dismantled and gutted in the background. I can't wait to see all the poor dumb fuck reds crying about how further fucked they are and how inflation is even higher as they die of treatable medical conditions.

Anyone cheering this on is a complete retard celebrating their own country as it burns. If anyone should be celebrating right now it's the progressives who hate America and wanted to see it burn and become powerless.

Edit: Btw if anyone would like another example of how dogshit tariffs are for your economy, especially if you believe it's already in a slump: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoot–Hawley_Tariff_Act

yeah, god it should be fun to play "the president" when your whole base consists of full retards.
meanwhile "caved" mexico rotating the same 10k soldiers to the border every other year lol

see you again next month, orange cuck

Seems way too alarmist? A 10% hike on videogames isn’t the worst thing for mankind is it? I get the impact on food prices, but not entertainment

Hey cut me some slack. I was eating dark chocolate cake for 5 of those minutes!
Its crazy how little people on here know about this. Firstly, it's not a 10% tarrif but an additional 10% tarrif on the existing tarrifs for China. Now as it relates to video game software, there will be no effect. However for hardware, there is the potential for an increase of > than 10%. It's not a one to one relationship between the increase in tarrif and increase in prices. The increase that consumers bare is often greater than the tarrif due to the tarrif itself, greedflation, and other factors.

Both Mexico and Canada have caved within 24 hours.

What a certified clown 🤡. We didn't cave for shit. The 1.3 billion plan was a plan we already agreed to with the States in December 2024 before Trump entered office. All that's changed is that there's a border Czar whatever tf that means. Trump cucked like the cuck he is when the dow opened red and the market was almost all red this morning. The lobbyists started calling Washington, conservative newspapers called it "The dumbest trade war in history". All that shit about a czar is just press stuff to help the dude save face.

The truth of the matter is that the dude is a certified idiot. Less than 1% of the fentanyl comes from Canada so his claims are hogwash. More importantly, you guys keep smuggling your guns up here and screwing up our country. Also this asshat didn't even give US businesses a chance to sort out their supply chain and tried to enact it immediately. All this 30 day pause nonsense is so that US businesses can sort themselves out and then he'll try again in 30 days. As a Canadian, I've never hated America as much as I have since this clown entered and started talking shit about the 51st state nonsense. At this point, I think most Canadians hate America more than India and that's saying something especially with the way Indians are catching unnecessary flak here.

Screw that orange clown,
Sincerely,
Canada

Ah well - either way - as soon as Donny can speak to Xi on the phone and cave in - sorry - ‘make a deal’, then China will be spared too and we can all go back to normal.
