GTA VI could launch on PC in early 2026, according to Corsair

Why it matters: Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive still haven't confirmed when the PC version of GTA 6 will arrive. With the fall 2025 console release date approaching, the silence from the companies is worrying. However, Corsair Gaming has strongly hinted that GTA 6 will be available on PC in early 2026.

The suggestion that we might only be waiting a few months for GTA 6 on PC came from Corsair Gaming's financial VP, Ronald van Veen. During the company's latest earnings call, he said (via VGC), "Yeah, GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we'll get a glimpse of that, I think, later on in the year for console. My understanding now it's going to come out in the fall for console, and then early 2026 for PC."

If it's coming in early 26, why not just release it day one like other studios manage to do.
I am fine with that. We see also other studios struggling over and over again with PC optimizations and Rockstar is actually one of the few who can do it pretty good. At least I can remember that I was pretty pleased with the GTA5 pc launch. If they need some focus time for it....go for it.

Honestly don’t care. It’ll come after Rockstar milks the 30fps version. Then they’ll release on PC, followed by a 60fps “next gen” console version to the people that bought the 30fps console version.

Rockstar knows how to play for the double dips.

landscape is different now. Take two aint going to ignore the PCMR.
I think Corsair has heard murmurs.

This game seems to need a X3D chip or a 6Ghz Intel, to run all that CPU simulation at 120fps or more.

You mean a company that sells PC components is trying to hype the biggest game release ever to that platform? I'm shocked.

The game doesn't even have a release date for consoles... Rockstar will probably be all hand on deck at releasing those versions (that already include a Series S version...probably not an easy feat), making sure everything runs great, release GTA online for these versions, and then think about the PC release, and getting those extra sales from people that will for sure double dip.

They get more money from spacing out these releases than releasing everything day one. Then they will release the PS6 version of it in like 3 or 4 years and get even more sales. That's how it worked so well for them during the PS3/PC/PS4/PS5 eras.

SmokedMeat, how much is Rockstar making off the ‘console to PC’ double dips?

No.
They are just repacks of scene games that just have basic steam protection.

Sometimes the publisher will remove denuvo from a title after a period of time due to cost, once that happens it will be cracked.

Yea, I wonder what the calculation is exactly. MS didn't bother using denuvo with Avowed I'm assuming since it was cracked. Not exactly a small game. No GTA, but not exactly Digging a Hole.

I just wonder how the requirements will be on the PC? Will a 4070 be enough for high (not max) details and RT at 1080p?
A 5090 sure will be enough but what about lower cards?
