There's always a flurry of 3rd party games at the start and then barely anything after that when it comes to Nintendo. Why would it be any different this time?
I agree but the casual market does not care about graphics, fps, etc. Just look at how well the Switch sold with gimp hardware all these years.
If they have a better online experience then switch 1 and decent enough hardware I think they can outsell sony and MS again because they are more consistent with first party releases plus they will get more 3rd party support now if they have a more powerful console.
Especially when you consider that so many are children and many homes have multiple Switches. I imagine there are companies that have Switch titles in development 18 to 24 months out at this point.
Well Ubisoft did immediately tweet this after the NSW2 announcement. I wouldn't be surprised if they had one of the more recent AC titles (e.g. Odyssey, Origins, Valhalla, Mirage) ready for the Switch 2 launch.
The Switch 2 generation itself is going to long imo.
I don't really see where else Nintendo could pivot hardware-wise so it's just going to be a relatively slow burn of Switch owners upgrading over the course of a decade imo. Would not be surprised if Switch 2's life is 10+ years honestly.
Water is wet. Dumb comment, as if doing things simultaneously can't and hasn't happened. There's no benefit here, it's drip feed nonsense. No shit they can now start revealing games, that isn't what anyone is frustrated by.

PS5 / Xbox Series systems just have recieved games that could be considered next gen (Indiana Jones, HB2 and Intergalactic) where ray tracing is present at high resolution + frame rate. 5 yrs in we are starting to see games that push the hardware.
Next gen systems could launch in 2026-28 but these will probably be supported for a while.

I guess my argument was more that Nintendo has less and less reasons for new hardware. The hybrid console basically covers both their traditional handheld and console markets. They don't need new really hardware for their style of games anymore. And I think they have truly moved past of having the latest AAA games...whatever 3rd party games that developers decide to bring (older ports) they are OK with.
The only real reason for Nintendo to put out new hardware is probably some new vision or gimmick that they have for how people game. Which also seems to be decreasing.
All third party games you're better off buying on the ps5, series x, or pc. You'll be paying full price for a gimped version of said game when it makes 0 sense too. You buy a switch 2 for nintendo games and first party games in general really.
Not if you want to play it portably. Sometimes the trade off is worth it. Especially early in the switch 2s lifecycle when it's more comparable to the other systems they'll be games where it's worth it.
