Sending you all my energy so you are fully healed by Tuesday.Took this upcoming week off to play it.
So of course since this morning I am sick with constantly welled up eyes that prevent me from being able to play anything. Of course.
Seems like they've been able to squeeze a lot more of juice from the CryEngine when compared to the first game
Played KCD1 last year on my PC and thought it looked great, but also kinda funny that I had to add a few launch parameters on Steam to make it work properly.Yeah they clearly fixed the eternal multithreading problems on CPU side with cryengine. Or is it lumberyard they switched to now, either way, that one didn’t get support either so this is their hard work.
Cryengine looks amazing imo. It had its own tender style that I quite miss. KCD2 will likely have SVOGI for lighting. KCD1 already looks good honestly after a few tweaks on shadow resolution and distance.

KCD2 seems like overall a much more polished product. The fact that they sent the review copies so early smells like confidence.
I probably put too much meaning behind itNot sure I get the meaning of the OT title
Deadly OT
Can Henry swing his sword inside another dude's scabbard?
Does the game have multiple endings or branching story?
No way Avoid gets 50k.So, any Steam CCU peak bets?
Mine is 300-350K.
For reference, I estimate Avowed to get around 50K.
Avowed won't get 50k probably, more like 2-3kSo, any Steam CCU peak bets?

That is nice. I love multiple endings rpg. This will now be in my purchase list for 2025. By the way I havent played KCD1 yet. Was it good?It has multiple endings i think devs said that on livestream. As for branching story... i know that most quest can play out differently depends on how you approach it

Even Deadfire got over 20K, this has lot more mainstream appeal and even if the art director idiocy and DEI stupidity hurt it, I do not think it will be quite that low.Avowed won't get 50k probably, more like 2-3k
dunno, I don't watch that stuff. Some people are still salty on twitter and youtube, doubt it is any significant number.I don't know, did grifters stop trying to cancel the game or they're back in?
Ok, fair enough, didn't know that Deadfire got 20k.Even Deadfire got over 20K, this has lot more mainstream appeal and even if the art director idiocy and DEI stupidity hurt it, I do not think it will be quite that low.
To be fair - Deadfire is way under rated. Sawyer knows how to make an RPG (and is not involved w/Avowed)Ok, fair enough, didn't know that Deadfire got 20k.
If you are on PC, mods help a lot. I used the save, lock pick and a few others when I played it. Been a while though. It was, but rough around the edges. Second games should fix that
In the first you needed to train to get good at it, I expect it to be a touch easier in this but we will seeI want to love this series so much. But I played the 1st for 15 hours and I just can't wrap my head around the combat. I've tried and given up 3 times on playing it. I was really hoping they would drastically change it for the sequel but I see it's just more refined.
Its important to note that you're SUPPOSED to struggle with combat - because you're an untrained blacksmith apprentice.I want to love this series so much. Even Spiderman 2 got over 20K. If that game can, I have faith for Avowed.Avowed won't get 50k probably, more like 2-3k
