No it sounds like he was saying that the guys from Capcom know about the leaks but are confident enough in the single player content for the game to be a success. 2.5 hours of cutscenes alone is pretty damn impressive. I was expecting the story to be 2.5 hours of cutscenes and gameplay combined

That's the thing though. Other interviews have said that 3 hours is the length.
Meaning we'd have 30 minutes of gameplay here. That actually sounds about right.
I've made the argument before. If they did this same sort of Season Pass and put RE5 jill instead of MVC2 jill (If RE5 jill had never existed). That's a new character in my book.
The way he worded it sounds like the Capcom guys didn't say anything about Venom, but rather he assumed it to be Venom Vader off word of mouth around the web
What story mode in any game ever is 5/6ths cutscenes?

Well the other explanation is that Capcom never explicitly said what all new meant. Could be all new compared to Marvel 3 for example.

Well nothing he gave is indentifiable. It's not like the fake who claimed to be working with trailers. All he really gave is the school he went to and a vague explaination how he met two unnamed people from Capcom in a similar field

The hilarious thing about the Riku one is that w/ the SSFV stuff, I think he actually just solved for "X" when putting together a lot of stuff that we were hearing elsewhere. (Sneakers was saying more Story, Arcade mode coming, big stuff on Horizon, Valle's character list, Capcom store clearance-pricing SFV discs, etc.) Like, I wouldn't be surprised if he was both completely full of shit w/ no actual info, but managed to get that one relatively close to dead on.

The roster will be the main problem of the game, they can add characters but that will take time. First impressions matter..
