There is 0 chance Nintendo will re-release MK8 as a launch title. This is MK9.
Back to normal life. We have a LONG wait until April to see if Switch 2 is worth the hype. Clearly it is releasing no earlier than late May/ Early June.
I see June, two months from the showcase just like Switch.

I agree with you. I do wonder if MS is allowed to announce those games in MS event, then show them running on Switch 2 hardware at the Nintendo event.
I think that was one reason for this announcement. So MS can include the Switch 2 games in their event and other third parties can also announce Switch 2 games.

Well I got a sip of coffee in…..kind of underwhelming but atleast we have a date for the real direct. Longer than I was hoping but they come out guns blazing in April. Kinda seems like a fall release date at this point if we’re not getting a full reveal until April.

Looks like they threw DK:CR to die lol I mean, I think they definitely released the teaser before they planned, maybe because they held on for way too long that some NDA expired and lost control over secrecy... They April event was definitely always going to be at that date since they didn't commit to anything else than revealing the console to shareholders, April 2? That's a fresh new FY, but the reveal wasn't expected to be this soon, that's how I see it
