I could be wrong, but I certainly feel like if they WERE going to announce something today we would've already more details or confirmation from other sources. Unless they just dropped it cause they feel like it.

Would be cool, but this could really just be another example of person online said thing and no real proof other than they said thing. Even if they said things before that were "accurate".

Scarcity can create initial hype, but it isn’t a long-term strategy.

I'm not saying it is, merely that nothing can compare to a item being sold out world wild

This is buzz and marketing that is hard to replicate with a mere ad campaign

So selling out very much can help any company as you now can run with the media cycle of "We have the most sought after product in the world right now" etc

On the day of announcement:

Switch 2 available worldwide TODAY!

They’re going to make a Sega Saturn
Since it's a very different time, console will be backwards compatible, and the release schedule of titles are very much great, they're fine

That design made no sense what so ever yet people fell for it.
It was because of those damn patent illustrations. No one but the crazies thought NX would actuslly look like the diagram; then a real, physical version showed up out of the blue, and we were all shooketh. 3D printers were also pretty new. Plus, if ANYONE would, Nintendo would.

The real fun started when they started trying to figure out which studio the images came from based on the reflections from the acryllic screen. Full-on insanity.

It wasn’t even a physical object, it was just a 3D render. The person who made it released a video showing how it was modeled

Really? I could have sworn that I read they 3D printed the shell then popped an acrylic cutout screen in there. But that was almost a decade ago, and I lost interest pretty quickly after it was (thankfully) proven fake, so my memory could be way off.

Whilst i never expected them to reveal it during CES, it has to be said....What an utterly tedious fucking business Nintendo makes of revealing a console.
I mean, it's not their fault for fake rumors. They said they will reveal it by end of March.

Also, why would they reveal it before DK comes out and cruch its sales? It'll prob be revealed after.

Guess this is another leak that was wrong, at this point I think I am staying away from all this rubbish, and waiting for Nintendo to actually announce the thing.
