This is the biggest load of horseshit I've read on this forum this far.
Forum goers of any device or item in any market absolutely do not dictate in any way shape or form the pruchase decisions of the average Joe on the street.
If a logo generated twice as much as an actual console reveal then it's a win for the logo. No matter how you wanna slice it. PS4 base is double the size of Nintendo and MS combined so if a simple logo generating more interest than the new Xbox shows that there is more interest in news regarding the PS5 from enthusiasts and casuals alike.
Would bet money the actual PS5 reveal would once again generate more social media buzz than anything Xbox can come up with.

The real difference and the actual novelty would be (if it is true at all) wireless charging of the standard controller and the possibility to charge it directly via the console. This is comparable to Samsung and co which offered the option of wirelessly charging their wireless headphones directly on the smartphone. Of course you can also simply get a wireless charging box, but that would be much more practical.
PS: It is strange to take a premium controller as a comparison. Then I could also argue that the $ 1000 Samsung has had the fingerprint sensor on the display for a year now when it gets a $ 300 phone this year and say "that's nothing new".

Here's a grip of reality based on FACTS since you seem to love it so much:
- I own an XBOX ONE, it's the machine where I play the most due to gamepass and also because I can't stand the noise of my PS4 in some games (RDR2 i.e)
- These so called pseudo insiders - like you love to call them - have not been wrong many times in the last few years and they've been consistently been proven right in the last few months
- The github leak is real but it misses CONTEXT aka plans change in 2017-2018
- I already said here that I will buy XSX if the difference between it and PS5 is HUGE
- I already said here I have preference for PLAYSTATION consoles because:
- PSX was my favorite childhood console
- I live in PLAYSTATION and NINTENDO land AKA Europe
- XBOX support/marketing/promotions here in my country are GARBAGE and it will continue to be for many years because MS doesn't give a fuck about it
- I prefer SONY exclusives because they're BETTER - I know I know, everyone has their opinion

In the Xbox 360/PS3 era, Xbox would have way more sales in the US. They were the monthly leader for more than 30 months in a row. In the UK they were also bigger than Playstation I think. After their amazingly bad "tv tv tv, kinect, crappy DRM, fuck customers, $500" presentation, together with PS4 being more powerful they had a lot of bad press, and a lot more gamers switching to Playstation (coming from X360). Hence Sony's sales were so good, and Microsoft's sales went down by 40%.

It really baffles me when I see Xbox fanboys WISHING PS5 to have a 9.2 TF RDNA 1 while XSX have 12 TF RDNA 2 even though it will only make base games from a 3rd party standpoint look worse overall, because we all know the PS5 will be where all the developers will focus on and build their games towards that system’s specifications, let’s say it really is 9.2 TF, then you’ll see XSX having better shadows and a bit higher resolution.
BUT IF both consoles are 12 TF RDNA 2 then you’ll see games looking better overall than seeing one with 9.2 TF (market dominant) and the other being 12 TF (the one where developers do not really focus on as much as the market dominant).
Think before you talk, Xbox zealots.

Guys and girls, I just had a thought run through my head while reading some Youtube comments. Don't kill me for this, yes it was Youtube comments but this one in particular made me consider something I haven't really considered up to now.
We know for a fact Sony is using hardware-based emulation for backwards-compatibilty, correct? As that's what they did with PS4 compatibility on PS4 Pro, and are therefore likely doing with PS4 and PS4 Pro compatibility on PS5. Now we also know that both PS4 and PS4 Pro are GCN architecture machines, with Pro being a more advanced generation (I think it's GCN 3 IIRC).
And we also know that RDNA features both Navi and GCN architectural features, whereas RDNA2 is fully Navi, correct? So......
Wouldn't this more or less solidify PS5 is definitely using RDNA1? And whatever RDNA2 features it is using, like VRS and VRR, have been custom-added to the chip? While it's maybe possible they are using RDNA2 and customized the chip with GCN microcode and architecture features to ensure compatibility, I don't know how realistic this would actually be given the timing of PS5 silicon spinning up, plus if PS4 and PS4 Pro compatibility is as important to Sony as it seems to be, they probably would want to make the engineering side of things both simpler and more readily reliable by making the foundation RDNA1 while pulling in as many RDNA2 features from the roadmap as possible and as needed.
OTOH we know MS has decided with software-based backwards compatibility, which requires a bit more hardware overhead, but also means they don't have to rely on the presence of GCN architecture on the chip since they can emulate that in software. That would explain why XSX is using RDNA2.
This is just a thought I had; nothing more. Does anyone know if RDNA2 can emulate GCN microcode at the hardware level even if it doesn't have GCN architectural features at its root? I'd be very interested in knowing because if the answer is no, then I don't see how Sony could've gone with RDNA2 fully over RDNA1. And I think there's still a small chance XSX might be using RDNA2 but on the RDNA1 process, but they wouldn't have a need for the GCN features on the chip like Sony would. I knew two people with a ps3. Everybody else i knew had a 360. Everybody always called it the “xbox” when on about gaming, even if it wasn’t an Xbox lol, kind of like how it used to be the nintendo. Around here in my tiny little bubble, 360 was the utter king, and nobody bothered with ps3. That was due to multiplayer being far better, and things like COD and FIFA being the most played things. The PS3 version just didn’t cut it.
That all changed this gen obviously. But back then... Things were VERY different.

PS5 is 12tf+ Navi while XSX is 12 GCN.
Even now u can read, that Specer is wrong and it's not 12 RDNA 2 tf

I gotta agree withGudji on one thing, as a uk guy, I see playstation adverts all the time. YouTube, tv, radio, cinema, sides of buses etc
But Xbox I’ve seen like one advert, this entire generation.
Its just not good enough.
I think part of the problem for me is that even when there is local advertising or communication it remains very American in style and presentation. Stuff like Xbox On with UK presenters still manages to feel very American. That's not a pop at that style as such, but more that they don't seem to understand different markets need different approaches. Compare to something like PlayStation Access which is UK based and very British in style too.
The shining light in all of MS's PR is the GamePass Twitter feed though. The person who runs that is fantastic.

How easily people forget what the game "journalists" were doing in 2013. They pander who gives them their ad impression traffic. In 2013 all of the big game journalists were pushing the Xbox One and pandering to that base because at the time the 360 was their chosen messiah. Seven years later and it's the PS4, so grifters like Jason are going to continue to pander to the group that will give him the highest number of clicks on his articles, and right now that's Sony fans.
