Lmao. Caught you not knowing wtf you are talking about.

I see where you are going but I am simply giving a technical perspective, no politics here. You just stop wells. The oil will be there waiting to be produced and when demand bounces back you produce it. If the idea is to use oil to choke Russia economy, then it needs to be something at worldwide level. NATO countries aren't representative of the whole world.
I've been struggling to get this same concept across. People forget that Europe is not the whole world and that Russia has allies that will buy the oil and gas. Gas is so scarce in Europe that countries are having to renege after promising to cut off gas imports immediately. I posted an article earlier about Poland blocking complete gas & oil sanctions until the end of the year despite rallying everyone else to stop the imports. There is literally no other immediate source for it.

If they keep going soon every country will be in their list

Russia warns Britain for provoking Ukraine - threatens 'proportionate response'

Britain will be screwed if Russia starts sending tanks and missiles to all the countries defending themselves against UK Special Military Operations.

This is a russian woman... living in Sweden... talking like that to a Ukrainian.

What a cunt.

Ignorant and twisted. And she's a teacher no less.

Funny that she speak so highly of Russia and it's actions but is living and working in a foreign country rather than the land she so passionately believes in.

I checked and apparently she was fired by the company that employs her, plus the police *may* be investigating her, but honestly with an attitude like that she should really be sent back home to the rest of her ilk rather than letting her spread ignorance and hate.

“Aww, it’s so...average,” she said to him in a cold brick of passion

That is possibly true, but Russia is too busy sending their tanks to the Ukrainians at the moment.

I really don't get revealing all that info about intel being supplied to Ukraine. Same with much of the announcements about certain equipment being supplied. I would think it would be better to keep much of that close to the vest.
I agree as well. Having been in the military, I am actually shocked about the amount of information available to the public that they really don't need to know about...

Anything we’re being told about it either the tip of the iceberg, or altered information. That’s war for you.

The Swiss government announced today that it was exercising its right under the terms of the original export agreement to veto a transfer of 35mm ammunition from Germany to Ukraine. Over the weekend, a Swiss media report said that opposition from authorities in the country to the transfer of other types of ammunition was part of the reason why German officials had been dragging their feet on a separate plan to give Marder tracked infantry fight vehicles to the Ukrainian armed forces.

Perhaps they are sick of Russia presenting things they haven't disclosed as huge conspiracy theory gotchas. Like, this is what we are doing, so what, we have every right to.

Not yet a done deal, but could make things better

Again, this doesn’t mean much. Oil comes by ship anyway. The problem is the gas as importing LNG is way more expensive than just opening a pipeline valve. Germany will probably be able to buy some from Norway when they finish the pipeline to Poland. The issue is that Norway production is pretty much booked by the UK. So there isn’t much spare capacity. Germany is on a quite bad situation economically speaking as they will need to buy LNG from west Africa or something like that.

Before winter , Russia is so pissed of. Whole of Europe is without gas … Poland already is. I brought electrical heaters , 3 months ago .. that’s forward thinking , we also generate our own electricity with solar panels , in the near future there will be a battery in between.

Yup, but what the last 2 COVID years showed me , most people in high places are idiots . So it’s right in line with my expectations. Great military planners 🤣

Why do you keep saying oil doesn't go through oil pipelines? The druzbha oil pipeline literally delivers oil to Poland and Germany from Russia... It's not just by boat..

I know, mine comes from own solar panels on the roof . Turbine stations here also run on Russian gas .. idiots , everything for that cheap dime .. look now 🤡

then the “forward planning” comes from installing solar panels to make the house energy efficient and presumably get a kickback from selling surplus, not that you bought some electric heaters that run off the grid because you somehow had war premonitions

I had gas premonitions 🤣 months before most saw the Russians cut us off ! Good enough for me . We have solar panels to be less dependent on government providing everything, and be more green for the planet. We also have real gras in our garden , for the birds and the bees unlike a lot who rather drink beer and party the whole day .

Seems to be an alarmist opinion piece meant to provoke readers with speculation to support a harsher response to Russia. Even suggests some unnamed nation step in to help Ukraine. Something to do with UK politics maybe.

In short, the dawn of a new age of instability. Why on earth would politicians such as America’s Joe Biden, Germany’s Olaf Scholz, and France’s Emmanuel Macron tolerate so fraught and dangerous a future when, by taking a more robust stand now, they might prevent much of it from materialising? By supposedly avoiding risks today, they ensure a much riskier tomorrow.

Sending weapons and best wishes is not enough. Conferring last week, western leaders debated providing security guarantees for Ukraine after the war. All well and good. But this war is happening now. Who will guarantee Ukraine’s survival in the possibly decisive next few weeks? Who, if push comes to shove, will move beyond training missions and provide direct, in-country military support?

The author espousing wrong assumptions in their tirade since there's more than weapons and best wishes being offered makes their motivations and conclusions questionable.

A world war almost always starts how it starts now … a couple of years of build up and half baked help , building your forces for the Big Bang . World War is a last resort .

Yeah bro...its so funny. Thanks for the reaction score+ I guess.

I don't know whether it's correct or not, I'm just posting the article. I don't pretend to know if Ukraine will be able to hold out against Russia. If NATO directly intervenes they will of course win.

Here's another opinion from a former US military commander.

Yeah, this is so bizarre.

One would think that keeping russian army without info on what weapons you have would be the logic choice...

FWIW, I don’t read somebody posting an article as the poster agreeing with said article. Sometimes I post articles because they are ridiculous. Equally, the laugh emoji may not be for the poster, but for the article.
