He has to do that because he can't dash in and do it himself. =(

And to add to the icecar stuff on the last page, what I hate there is when they do it in the air. This either hits me at the tip of his giant ass hitbox, or they just jump high solely to shoot across the screen so they can spam iceblades from the other side that I have the sledge through to get to him. What happens when I get close? They ice car in the air while I am in mid-sledge and run away the whole match. :lol

The only counter I have is usually jumping just to block it in midair and go from there, but Tager has a shitty jump too! Arg.

It's so easy to counter against Tager it's ridiculous. Even his A attacks are slow enough to counter. Just get in close and work fast enough that he doesn't have the opportunity to do his 360 throw.

Yeah, this is true too. His fastest poke is beaten by a lot of normal attacks, I notice this the most when I fight Jin and Ragna. I think he plays Noel though, in which case I'm assuming he means his sledge attack, since it breaks through her drive attacks and a lot of normal ones since they're considered projectiles.

Ah yeah. Tager vs Noel is one of his easier match ups. Sledge works great against her and it's easy to knock her out of her drive attacks if she's not up close.

Just remember to stay in close with Noel and keep the pressure. Don't be a guerilla.

I beat them barely and feel great to get some more EXP.

The funniest thing I've seen happened to me three times now. I get an opponent who seems to have just reached level 30, they barrier burst at the start of the round then just let me double perfect them. I guess once they reach 30 some people just want 200 matches if they don't have the achievement/trophy yet, which I'll take, if you aim for a DD finish you get so many points on top of a perfect match. :lol

Nope, I'm a good ole Noel player. And it seems no matter who I fight, they always don't expect me to use a DD on wakeup!

Might've misread that, on second thought, but I'm not a big V-13 person. SWORDZ. Only met one so far who actually knew how to use the sword combo.

Man, that's hilarious. :lol I've only had one ragequitter, and it was a D-spamming Noel, but I've only had somewhere around 120 XBL matches.

I messaged him and asked, "Finished already? "

He goes, "yup." So I left it at that and clicked "Avoid Player."

I just can't understand how some of these people can be so insecure as to feel a need to disconnect from the game just to keep a fucking number from increasing. It's like lying, and it's such an inconsequential thing to lie about. *steps on soapbox* If somebody beats you, learn to counter whatever tactic they're using against you and kick their ass next time, you weird ass people!

I think I've got 8 myself, and it's only due to bad connection stuff (and that ragequit), it really sucks.

Let it be known that today, at level 34, I met a Carl in Ranked matches!

I think he kept trying to set me up for the ClapTrap, but I always made sure to never get between him and Nirvana.

I've run into exactly one Carl player too, level 48.

I didn't know what was happening; both rounds I somehow got caught in the clap trap almost right away and he was good enough to keep it up even with throw breaks at different intervals. It wasn't even a matter of the wrong positioning. Basically he'd teleport Nirvana in just as he was already starting the combo, so it didn't really matter where she was to start with the combo would still go off.

I'm sure if I actually knew his set-ups I might have more of a chance, but I don't know how I'm ever going to learn the match-up when really good carl players are this rare. At least I managed to save the replay for reference :lol

Yeah, disconnects happen. It's usually easy to tell when someone intentionally quits, but I usually send a message to ask what's up. I've never refused a match from a "red-letter" though - it sucks that people aren't giving you the benefit of the doubt. :/

So while playing ranked matches tonight, I managed to hit the same Jin player 4 times in a row. And of course, he was an ice car spammer. I managed to win all 4 times.

I could tell he was getting pretty angry, because with each match he spammed ice car more and more. :lol

I'm a Noel player as well and I do this too. Or, I let them hit me in the air, then as I'm falling, they dash in, then I air-recover and DD. Or I poke them with A until I hit-confirm, then DD from an ABC combo. My DD rarely misses unless I accidentally mash it out while panicking.
