I think if they left her as is, and simply added a meter for her drive she would be balanced. A meter that refills on its own. It would prevent her from completely relying on her projectiles and having to go in every now and then.

From my experience, most Nu players suck at blocking and general defense. The hard part is getting on on them. Not only would a meter give the other player a chance at closing in on her, it would force the Nu player to learn something else besides hitting D and barrier bursting when you get close.
The meter, if done right, could be great.

But again, lowering Nu's health wouldn't help anything at all. I get demolished the second I let a Tager slip through.

Arakune though... he's fucking unstoppable.

Lowering her damage output would work for me.

I don't know if any characters really need a nerf, i think some chacthers such as Bang,Tager and Hakuman could use a buff, but they would have to be careful cause tager and Hakuman are a move away from being broken :lol Imagine Tager with infinite projectile.

Its hard enough fighting inside with Nu.

Her normals aren't anywhere near as dominating as the majority of the other characters. Just about all of her attacks (that actually do anything) have a hellish wind-up anyways.

The most annoying thing about Nu, to me, is she can always push you back. If you get in and she hits you with her C attacks, regardless of the damage it causes, you're launched back and it basically all resets. If that misses, she can burst you back anyway. If YOU burst, you end up screwing yourself over.

And regarding health, Nu is already close to a glass cannon, but I at the least don't really understand why Carl is at 9500 and Nu is at 10000, maybe they should swap.

A good Carl is way harder to hit than a good Nu.

Imagine him with Potemkins knockdown or command dash. I imagine he was made to "trade" those for Sledge, Spark Bolt, and magnetism. These are nice, but require something to work, unlike those which are doable as regular specials.

This is why V is so nasty even for elite Tagers, you end up running around strengths, stopping yourself from being baited into B-sledging a D that ain't coming.

Eh, I guess I can't really say much about that since I've only fought a few Carl players, and those were mainly just nothing but trying to clap loop. :lol

I think Tager would be a lot better if they gave him another move or two to use the electric gauge for. Sparkbolt is awesome and all, but having something else(maybe an airdash that costs half of it but has projectile immunity) would allow him to mix it up. Then again I'm only really thinking of a way for him to counter Nu. :p

I think I found my new main! Taokaka is awesome. Why didn't anybody tell me?
She is awesome.

So are the achievements in this game. My friends and I were going at it and got You Never Forget Your First, This Just Got Real, Its The Only Way To Be Sure, and Beautiful Arakune in one match.

Jizz got everywhere.

This video is so painful to watch. The Tager isn't even doing anything wrong. =(

Wow, I feel bad for watching that ... after choosing Nu as my main. (Sorry guys, I just love her style, Ragna for secondary)

But yeah, after watching several videos, is pathetic the way people abuse hers spades stuff, a meter wouldn't break her. (heheh... I shouldn't been talking when I'm still learning)

By the way, I don't understand the flag system for the connection quality. All I see is a blue flag or no flag... is it normal or my connection sucks badly?

I gotta say Hori Fighting Stick 3 joystick is garbage, i have so much trouble dashing because i cannot double tap easily, it feels so stiff/moving through mud.

Do you play Tekken out of curiosity? Tekken and BB are a compliment to each other in regards to "double taps". :D

WTF is gamespot thinking? As an overall game/package the game is phenomenal. People may have differing opinions when analyzing the deeper, fighting game centric, aspects of it, but review sites/magazines never addressed those points to begin with.

BB has awesome production, a great single player, and best online in a fighting game ever. GS is teh dumb.

Well since no one plays Carl, I guess we'll never know for sure.

i do, but after playing a couple tournament rounds with him i realize it will take a lot more to win consistantly then much of the other characters. I had to pick up ragna as my secondary to be able to get some wins in. Ill just have to spend twice as much time with him to get good.

I went to my first Blazblue tourney on Saturday with HeartNana, and got fourth... but I didn't win a single round lol. It was a 2 on 2 team tourney, with 13 teams entered. I got teamed up with Mekasue, one of the few Carl players to have qualified for SBO.:lol He totally beasted every team we came across... I felt bad because I was totally helpless, having to fight against Arakune, v-13, Taokaka and Bang. :/ Bang was the easiest match-up I had and I still got bodied. :(

This is Mekasue btw, he always uses red/white Carl

You still using Tager? It must really really be hard to use him in Japan where people are actually good with top tier characters. I'm barely scraping into top 8 here with the guy, I can't imagine how much harder that would be in Japan.

Also, I realized a while back I'm not cut out for competitive gaming, for the most part. I get really anxious sometimes and when matches are really close, my heart rate increases D: If I lose I'm like, "o_\\." And it feels like everyone's better than me, especially in Ranked.

I just have to play more, but, dammit...other games are getting in the way :lol

It's tough to do anything competitive when you're being matched against people everywhere. That comes down to what you want out of it. Jitters will settle tho with time.

Nope, i have played a little Tekken but will really get into it when Tekken 6 comes out. Honestly i think its just my stick, because i have not heard anyone complaining about its stiffness. Bah i will have to eventually get another stick when the time comes i guess

Toning down her normals isn't necessary. Like I've said, she's already a bitch to try and play defensively with any sort of close-up pressure.

And you have to be careful with a D gauge, too. If you make it too small you remove her ability to make combo chains. You shouldn't make it so she's the only character in the game who can't do long combos.

That's weird. I played T5 on the FS3 and I didn't have any problems. Actually, I don't really have much problem even if I go back to it now. It's not as nice as the Sanwa parts, but they're not unplayable either.

I agree that you need to be careful, but there needs some kind of change. I'm fine with her zoning; you just need to get inside 2-3 times to kill her. The problem is that she can rezone really fast. One, and I mean ONE hit (even blocked) can rezone her. She even has that ridiculous dash that lets her rezone. Plus that weird gravity thing. etc. etc.

OR, she could get a gauge for her D. You can let her chain, but waste too much, then you're out of options. Tager has ONE projectile over 20 secs or something. Rachel has 4 wind. Arakune has a curse limit. Even Carl has limit for her Nirvana. Doesn't make sense to NOT have a gauge on that sort of thing. If they do this, I wouldn't mind a *small* buff on her normals.

What kind of stick ya got again? And BB will help you with Tekken in the long run once you start getting into the footsies of Tekken with double taps to spacing and what not.

Guage seems stupid, it would totally change her place style. Toning her damage down would do much would keep her play style intact, but give her opponent more chances to get in on her (which is the whole meta game when playing against her).

One thing that baffles me is that she has a tracking normal... I've never seen a 2d fighter with a tracking normal. I was totally surprised the first time I jumped over her to punish a wiff, and she just turns around and smacks me with it.

I'm not familiar with this term?

None of those changes are really necessary (A gauge? Really?). Most of Nu's matchups are pretty close. Even/slight advantage The only character with a significant disadvantage is Tager who clearly needs to be brought up to the rest of the cast.

That's the real problem though. All the characters are 1 or 2 moves away from being broken/useless. Make Tager have a move that lets him close in? Broken. Nerf Nu in an area? Useless.

edit: she has a tracking normal?

The character I'm most interested in nobody cares about. :lol Does anybody have any tips for someone that wants to be a decent Haku-men player?

I'm pretty sure haku-men is more popular that Carl.

I FINALLY found a copy... so I can see what all this is about. It's nice to have a really good 2d fighter in HD now, that's not just some barebones effort.
