Wait, what? It will split the online community if there's no DLC for the rest =/Dynamic3 said:I really hope the new EU characters will be available as a patch/DLC for the NA version. Still no extra colors for PS3 though eh?

when did the EU version get announced?
when is the release date?
what new EU characters are talking about?
what if the balance/moveset/roter tweaks aren't paid DLC though?Dizzy-4U said:Wait, what? It will split the online community if there's no DLC for the rest =/
A+ job.autobzooty said:As a Nu player, I feel like all I ever do is lure the enemy out and nail 'em with D while staying far away, and then using C to keep my distance when things get too close. I toss in some specials to mix things up, but that's about it. Honestly, I almost never use A or B.
Am I doing it right? I feel like I'm not, but it's kinda working for me. :lol
Degen said:Just remember: While they block your beam special, run at them ASAP and go for a throw. If a throw succeeds, spam D immediately.
Prototype-03 said:I would actually try to avoid that. Decent players would know that a throw is coming. I would suggest to try go for a mixup instead.

JosM88 said:Seriously, any V-13s that try any of that close quarters crap when I'm vulnerable get wrecked. I don't even see why she is so challenging to most people. I rush in there with Bang, and I win 80% of the time.
Prototype-03 said:True, Nu does suck close range, but my point was when you're being blocked by her DD and she rushes in, I would do a tick throw, so I'd rather go for high/low mixup to at least have a chance for the DD to continue and start a new combo. If your C attack gets blocked, she can reset pretty well. I would grab, but not all the time.

We are planning to release in Q1 2010. Sincere apologies for keep you waiting that long, but there are lots of texts to localize...
Game will come in Eng, French, Italian, German, and Spanish and will have some small additionals.
More detail later!

Arc Europe

Is it showing that I don't exactly flow like water with V13? :lol Mine is really only great against Arakune, mainly because those fights so often come down to Arakune's torrent of bull**** vs mine.JosM88 said:Seriously, any V-13s that try any of that close quarters crap when I'm vulnerable get wrecked. Prototype-03 said:I haven't met that many good Nus on randoms either, but Tek has a hell of a Nu.
Though I wish I had a 360 so I can play you guys.
I guess it goes both ways :lol

My Tager murders most Noels I encounter and puts up a good fight against Ragna/Jin, but Hakumen is my favorite by far. SNOWSTORM!
Anyway, it's a good thing I never seem to run into anyone online as good as anyone on GAF. Go figure.

The tourney sticks are pretty good right?

Bamelin said:I actually have blaz blue on the 360 but haven't had time to really play it. I'm thinking though of getting the PS3 stick just because my 360 is so unreliable (I'm on my 5th unit), and also because I have a 250 gig drive on the PS3 versus an almost full 20 gig drive on the 360.
I want the stick more for old school arcade titles (Namco's essential museum, q bert, 1942), although I'll certainly get some fighters as well.
I tried to play Blaz Blue abit on the 360 pad but gave up I just coudln't get used to it. I guess I spent too many years playing fighters in the arcades, the pad just seems foreign to me for this type of game.

ZealousD said:A and B are your tools for getting out of pressure. My favorite close up combo with Nu is 2A 2A 4B. Those down jabs get your hits in, and 4B is one of her most useful moves. It has surprisingly good range, it hits twice, and the second hit will actually launch the opponent into the air. With the opponent in the air, you can do her really hard hitting air combo.
autobzooty said:I forget, do those numbers correspond with an analog clock or with the buttons on a computer keypad?
Prototype-03 said:Pretty sure they'll be DLC... hopefully free DLCs, but at least obtainable. Doesn't make sense to seclude people especially since you can go online -- can't you play players in JPN with a US copy?
I do, and I did alright. I still have a bit of difficulty with Hakumen, but Tager has gotten much easier as long as I give up burning heart counters. That was back when I was still learning Bang. Tager matches are probably one of my more fun matchups, ask Papercuts.:lolZealousD said:A and B are your tools for getting out of pressure. My favorite close up combo with Nu is 2A 2A 4B. Bang is one of Nu's harder matchups. Try that with Tager or Hakumen.

I've been a huge supporter of BlazBlue to my friends and community, and if ARC Systems and Aksys don't offer these characters to all regions, I'm not going to be able to stand behind their game anymore.
What possible reason could they have to make characters exclusive to europe? What could the possibly have to gain by not letting the rest of the world play as these people? This news about new characters for the EU version is distressing...I hope they're not seriously stupid enough to offer different sets of characters in different regions. DY_nasty said:I have a definite weakness in this game now. I just got my ass kicked in this local tournament and I feel almost cheated.
Does anyone else have a hard time guarding the very top of their head? It seemed like no matter what I did, if I got nicked on the top of the head at all it was going to be unblockable. Not from just overhead attacks but projectiles, normal A attacks, anything...
Is my defense just bad, or is anyone else having issues guarding their dome?
Its not overheads, I think that there's an actual blindspot directly over your characters head at times.akachan ningen said:what do you mean? there's no location-based damage in this game. Maybe you're blocking low when you should be standing.
DY_nasty said:Its not overheads, I think that there's an actual blindspot directly over your characters head at times.
Its a split between the would-be-blocked attack in front of you and your wide open backside. I'm really starting to believe that if you land an attack at the perfect point during someone's block its just unblockable. Maybe I'm just tripping after a 0-6 beatdown though...

I recently got the SFIV TE Stick, though, so I should really start practicing. Can you motivate me, GAF?
