As much as I would love a Gears 3 announcement, I don't think it'll be happening this soon either ..

but there was that survival horror game Epic was considering right ? unless that got canned already.

As much as I'm excited about SP3, the game doesn't scream big surprise to me. Maybe it could be Agent.

BTW, I'm burned out from CoD games. I really hope it isn't MW3 or whatever they call it. Right now, I'm hyped for the new MoH game.

That basically confirms Gears then since he was really to knock off some others but not that. But I don't see how Gears is bigger than HALO. Sure unlike Reach, Gears 3 hasn't been officially announced, but it's one of those games that everyone knows is going to come out.

Yea it could be this if not MS is going to come out swinging with both Gears 3 and Halo Reach. Perhaps they are really serious about a "relaunch" next year.

Weren't both Gears premiered at GDC? I don't think it would be too early to show of Gears 3 really, but a new IP would be nice to see.

I'd like to watch the awards for the premieres and what not, but seriously, Saturday night? I'm sorry but I'm not staying in to watch it. It worked well on Sunday last year.

The only thing I can think of off hand that would be bigger than Halo Reach as an unannounced title would be Blizzard's next MMO but they usually like to announce that stuff themselves...

It could be just one of the surprises, not the one that is biggest of the show. As pointed out earlier, Geoff didn't say the biggest part of the show was a game. Brutal Legend the movie? lol

Zelda Wii would also fit the description in my opinion, but I doubt there will be any Wii announcements, let alone a 1st party Nintendo game.

This would be an appropriate venue for Gears 3, and it would fit his description. I hope it's not though, because Gears 2 had a lot of serious problems, and 2 years just isn't enough time for Epic to make a blockbuster sequel, apparently. It wont be Zelda because Nintendo would probably prefer their own audience and their own timing. Bigger than Halo could just mean more of a surprise, but I think the implication is that the franchise is bigger....

Please someone tell me it wont be the massive unveiling of *shock* Call of Duty 7...

Spike should just have a show called "WORLD EXCLUSIVES OF THE YEAR". None of this awards business matters.

Not officially, but I'm sure people will have it up on Justin.tv. It's starting live at 8pm EST.

I believe. That would be a monster announcement and would absolutely drown out the game announcements. I will however cry if Reach is played with only Natal.

Young Lara in survival horror on an island off of mainland japan could be good only if the execution is perfect. hopefully it is good.

If true that is pure ass since I don't get Spike HD.

I see on their website you can vote for the games you want to win. I find it hard to believe these are vote driven alone, does anyone know how they pick their winners?
