It has arrived, my dudes. Funny thing there wasnt any official seal stickers on the box. But GPU is sealed in a foil with original stickers. And there are three power connectors so it's indeed XT model.

Gonna pair it with my R 5 7600 for now since securing GPU was more pressing for me.

Should I upgrade to R 7 9800x3d later on?
7600x paired with my 9070xt. Its always driven 120fps in every game that I have without issue. The games that don’t reach 120fps is because of GPU bottlenecks.

9800x3d will certainly get you a more consistent FPS, but VRR has never made me want to spend big dollars on more CPU. CPU benchmarks confirm the 7600x is easily viable for 120fps+ gaming.

metareferential metareferential recommended to look for a used 7800x3d, so maybe I will go with this in the future.

There aren't any pins on Zen 4 and Zen 5 so it's not like I will get a bend pin... So it could make sense to buy it used.

And it's like $260 difference where I live.

Between used 7800x3d and new 9800x3d.

Looks like a nice compromise.

But for now I will just pair it with R 5 7600.

So I have already put in the GPU and no issues so far on RM750X. I was worried there but it seems to be working good.

I have tested the RX 9070 XT on CachyOS and I was surprised it maxed out my GPU in Persona 3 Reload with Ray Tracing and 200% resolution scale.

I thought the scale was a problem, then ths crashes came.

Little bit of Google and it seems AMD rushed Linux drivers.

Dual booted back to Win10 first time in like 3 months... Lots of updates later, one DDU later, installing newest drivers and.. Same spot with a lot of ray traced reflections, same settings, 120-180w tops of GPU usage.

I had the exact opposite experience with RX 6700 XT under Linux power usage was like 40-70w while in Win10 it was more like 120-180.

And I was getting ready to fully ditch Windows.

Guess I will have to wait till EOL Win10, maybe they will patch the drivers on Linux till then.

A bit of a bummer since I have grown quite fond of Linux gaming and GNOME dash to dock look with Blur my shell. Plus workflow was so much better on Linux than Windows... But what else can I do.

BTW.
I managed to turn off the RGB with Gigabyte app since I have non-rgb build 👍🏻.

BTW #2.
I didn't saw any fan settings in AMD Adrenalin Software like on my Sapphire GPU, do I really have to use the Gigabyte app for that? Seems like unnecessary bloatware... Will have to double check that since I might have missed something.

Got an email from Newegg a few days ago saying they would be doing a drop on Mon. Mar. 10th at 10am. Guessing because they cancelled my order for the PowerColor Reaper. Hit it hard at 10am and almost snagged Gigabyte Gaming OC for $729, but it out of stocked as I hit the pay button. Looped back around managed to grab a Asrock Steel Legend for $669(+$13 s&h). Waited expecting them to kill the order again, but they actually shipped it. Super stoked. Hoping to sell my Asus Proart RTX 4060 Ti 16GB for ~$600 to help with the upgrade. Not sure if I should list it until I've tested the 9070 XT and verified it works. Would suck dick to be stuck on a RX 470 while waiting for a RMA.

P.S.- Those stock trackers aren't worth shit, imo(maybe other trackers are better?). Popped off like 3hrs later with the in-stock alert. Cards from that drop were gone in like 30secs.
