I've had PS since the 1st one, including both handheld. I'm done. Worst gen by far for me and I have zero intention of ever investing in that ecosystem again if I can help it. Fuck no. 100x worse than Xbox this gen, which is drowning in games this year and GP and setting up the ability to take your library to PC or handheld.

PS lost their grasp on 3rd parties forever. They'll all be on PC and so will Sony. I can wait on all their games or skip it. I had a PS5 1st and its been so bad I had to jump ship in 2022.

lol what? I just got SF6 and my thumb has a massive blister. There's supposed to be some proper way to use it but I'm old school and that dpad hurt my thumb bad. I tried to do it the "new way" but once a fight really gets going I just revert back to the sliding thumb.

Anyone lamenting Xbox, well all you who got gamepass instead of buying games contributed to its downfall. Gamepass with day 1 launches is retarted. They should of just kept it to match psPlus

It sucks as the series x is my first and only xbox. I swore I would never get one, but the backwards compatibly that Ps4/ps5 didn't have was inciting. I got a series x as a gift and love it, although the ps5 controller is much better.
Own all the systems now, and pc .

Actually opposite. I'm not a diehard Xbox fan (even skipped Xbox One) and had every single Playstations over the years... but I wouldn't consider myself die hard Sony fan either. (OG Sega fan)

Having said so, from now on, I'm switching to PC over any consoles except Nintendo. Not likely to buy future Xbox or Playstations... unless something big happens. It's good for me, because now I don't have to deal with many different libraries. (PS/Xbox/Nintendo/PC).

Nah i just own everything because im an adult and not broke. I play games for enjoyment and not to be tribally attached to a brand like its a sports team and just appreciate each brand for what they offer. Xbox being game pass and day 1 releases of their first party titles along with everything else on there. Currently playing Avowed and enjoying it. Playing Under the Waves on Ps5 and enjoying it. And playing Pokemon Violet on Nintendo and … nah im not really enjoying that 😂

Everyone loves a good shitpost from time to time. But I do think we all have to suffer really excessive trolling when Sony fans are bored, which is nearly all the time. Their showcases can't satisfy them at all. I honestly wish they did. I think I was one of like 3 people defending Intergalactic on here.

i was a huge ps2 guy and fell off when xbox 360 came out, got no problem with playstation other than the controller, can't stand the symmetrical sticks and the reverse concave

Fwiw, only 1% of people here are Xbox only gamers - at least based on a poll from June 2024. Only 5 people identified themselves as such in that poll.

Was an Xbox diehard (always had a PlayStation though) and the moment Microsoft announced they were releasing games on PS5 I sold my Xbox S|X and got a 4070 Super gaming PC. I have my ps5 for 4k blu ray purposes. I will never trust Sony to be the handler of my digital gaming library.

Sony as a corporation can fuck all the way off and PlayStation has to be one of the most blatant anti consumer gaming companies out there.i just don't trust that one day they're gonna always honor my digital library. There will be a time when they release a console again that kills BC and your library dead in the tracks.

They’ll puff chests and jump to pc realising it’s nothing like a console. Eventually grit their teeth back into the console space with the only option PS. Once there, they will be pleased as a peach.

1% of the overall total, but 10% of the PS-only crowd. I think that's a reasonable assumption - that 90% of the PS-only crowd here have upgraded to PS5 by now. It's an enthusiast forum, after all. Most of the people who are still stranded on PS4 are casual gamers. In an enthusiast forum like this, I think it's quite likely that 90% of PS-only players have upgraded to from PS4 to PS5 by now.

I do wish in retrospect that I hadn't made that a hybrid option (PS4/5), since it does confuse things a bit. But still, I don't think PS4 accounts for more than 10% of PS-only players on a forum like this.

About a year ago I was Xbox only, now I sold it and went and upgraded my pc, have a ps5 but I barely use it, pc all the way, pointless owning an Xbox now.

Only thing that’s annoying is I have about 300+ games now stuck in the Xbox ecosystem. Some I can play through the Xbox app which I don’t really get how it works but the rest are lost.

Been xbox since x360, I'm actually seriously thinking about switching over. I will see what MS has to offer nexgen if it isn't anything appealing I will make the switch.

It'll be interesting to see what happens as the PC and console space for the Nextbox blurs even more and the very possible elimination of GamePass sometime in the future.
