I have about 70 games on Xbox that I already own on PlayStation consoles. So right now I only keep the Xbox Series X for two reasons. The controller, I love it, the Xbox series controller is so perfect and so nice and comfortable. Second is the few exclusives Xbox still has like the Halo series and Gears of War series. But I've said it before, if the Gears of War series is ever released again on the PS5 or future PS6, wow oh wow the Xbox will be dead on the spot for me.

I actually just got an Xbox again recently. I got a really good deal though from my buddy ($350 Series X w/ Elite Series 2, and the WD Black 1Tb expansion card).
I'm sure at some point down the line Gears and Halo will go to other consoles, but I wanted to play the OG trilogy now and it was a great deal. I'm currently playing through Gears 2/Dead Space 2/Split Second through BC, and my PC/PS5Pro haven't been used since outside of my PC purely for Battlefield. I'm just having too much fine right now to bother.

Yeah, like all the other xbox personalities out there I guess but they were too stubborn or paid too well to switch like timdog. Honestly though, you can't really go wrong with a PS. You get all the games, MS games, all the third party games and Sony games. All's good in PlayStation land.

I’ve never been Xbox only, can’t think of a console I didn’t own from any of the manufacturers (wait, I didn’t get Wii U), but I’m done with the multiple platform game. If the next Microsoft console is more open and powerful enough I’ll get that, if not I’ll go PC (most of my gaming right now is GeForce Now or Xbox Remote play/XCloud anyway).
Not interested in PS6 or Switch 2. I’m out. If they bring their games to PC I’ll play them, if not I won’t.

People act as if Xbox just stopped existing and all Xboxes out there will stop working suddenly due to games not being exclusive anymore.
Things are still the same in the console field, you just can play games on another platform additionally to Xbox so all Xbox users can keep their console as if nothing happened.
For example, I would never change an Xbox for PS5 if both have the same games because I like Xbox controller way more than PS controller, I'll start thinking otherwise the day PS fix the symmetrical sticks issue.

-80 if you want to be online at all on either system. So 160. I think I already made that back this year with Avowed, Sniper Elite, Eternal Strands and Citizen Sleeper and its just Feb. Thats 185 in games just with those 4. And I've gotten like $20 in rewards points.

My main worry is finding time to play it all. Need to run through Black Ops 6, Calisto Protocol, Balatro, Avowed, Stalker 2, and Sniper Elite ASAP. Atomfall and 33 Immortals next month followed by South of Midnight, Clair Obscura in April and Doom in May. And still need to beat Outer Worlds 1 before this winter when 2 drops. And Ninja Gaiden 4 is this fall, and I'd Iike to do a 2nd Mentor run on Black 2. And I buy dozens of games as well on top of that. Literally can't play it all. Only got to play Nine Sols for a few hours. I can keep going, apparently Rogue Trader is great. Mixtape, Wuchang, Replaced, Subnautica 2, Towerborne, and on and on. 2026 already has a stacked roadmap as well.

Probably. Phil Spencer has said folks will still be able to play games from their Xbox library though. How that's going to work....not sure. I think PC is the right way forward though, if they can make it in a way that works in the living room.

Never bought a Series X/S but still have my XB1X. But you know what's sad about the PS5 (besides the lackluster 1st party output and remasters)? RDR2 still looks and plays better on a XB1X than a PS5.

No, I have gamepass. Microsoft has too many studios that I wouldn't be able to buy or play all their games yearly without it. I'd be more interested in buying a PC instead.

It’s still an amazing deal. I am good for a couple of years and every few months I’ll pick up a 3 month card for $50. It’s a better deal than paying monthly and I get a ton of fuel rewards. I bought a card last month and today paid $1.49 per gallon of gas due to the Xbox cards giving 4x the fuel rewards points.

I already bought way too many gaming PCs. After wasting about $5000 in credit card debt and seeing the games and seeing how similar they look to consoles of now it's like who the heck cares anymore? But seriously, I don't see any big difference in games these days between PC and consoles. It looks the same to me.

I have a Series X and have enjoyed many games on it, a few nutjobs and shills on Gaf do not represent the majority (hence CoD and FIFA are top sellers not AstroBot etc)
To the OP, if MS release a good value project next gen I'll buy it.
If not I'll build a SFF PC
My Mini PC 7840 is the best thing I bought in years. 2TB RetroBat Inc PS3 and Switch I love it.
