Currently 9 hours in the game and was planning to stop 6 hours ago. What's happening?
Hmm I think I’ll reload and take it, was doing the bird nest quest quite recently and did the ring quest at the same time, 2 hours back maybe. Sounds like it’s worth it.It’s a life leech ring, 1% of attack damage is returned as health
So a huge Crit etc heals quite a lot and I think it’s been saving me quite a lot in 2nd area.
Not sure it’s endgame material, probably not but I was not giving back that
Skipped every cutscenes and dialogue? What's even the point? Like WTF are u doing?
I have so many things to say and I won't say anything. Have fun.Playing the game. Not watching a movie.

Sorry man, cutscene coming up. Have to go.Say it.

Play how you want really. There's no justification of it. I personally wouldn't play like that but who am I to judge what peoples have for leeway with their free time.
I never skip dialogues or cutscenes but the absolute drivel of the voice inside your head tempted me more than once, ngl![]()
More about what she says, there is a limit on how much abstract drivel i can listen before losing interest, they thought they were doing something interesting but it comes off as trying hard and annoying, sorry. That's an annoying voice

I would never try to mock you or tell you are doing it wrong. It is your choice and it is all cool, but it does feel weird to me to play the game like that. The character dynamics, story, interactions - they all join together and make the gameplay more interesting and present you with a goal and a motivation (which can be different depending on your dialogue choices). It's like ordering an amazing pizza and then scrape off cheese or toppings before eating it.Say it.
Is the story going anywhere interesting? Have been playing for 9 hours and just got killed entering Paladis. The gameplay loop sort of hooked me but I'm not sure it's enough to keep me going for like 80 hours.
Seeing as this game is very big the idea of "what's behind that corner" keeps me going, but I want to have some kind of "Mass Effect saving the universe kind of feel". I need the story and narrative to get a kick in the nuts.
Thank you! Working as a PA and having two children, one of which has autism, and my wife's work schedule leaves me little time to play games compared to years ago.
There's no point in me putting 40 hours into a game in which half of it is cutscenes and dialogue. That's why I prefer souls games and MH games.
Not really, it's the bog standard evil stuff happening in the land that turn animals and humans in monsters that you saw in many, many MANY other rpgs.Is the story going anywhere interesting? So, this is really a gameplay kind of game? Not really a RPG player but loved the lore and immersion in Witcher 3 and Mass Effect. ME especially is maybe my favorite experience ever. Completed it multiple times. The story is what kept me going and was so invested in everything outside the gameplay (which was good enough on it's own). Just listening to the guy reading the Codex was already worth all the money you know? Not really, it's the bog standard evil stuff happening in the land that turn animals and humans in monster that you saw in many, many MANY other rpgs.
It mix some deity stuff from the poe lore but if you are not invested in the poe lore, it mostly sound like sentences are composed by mostly word salad and fantasy terminology.
Some sidequests are honestly more interesting than this main plot but not by that much.
Gameplay is definitely the major hook, but if you are invested in the lore of poe i guess the drivel doesn't sound nearly as bad (although i saw reviewers that liked the 2 poe and disliked this one so...).So, this is really a gameplay kind of game? I need a reason for my character to do stuff. A purpose. A reason. I want to grow as a character narratively. It seems I'm addicted to the gameplay loop but surely that will run out at some point..
Don't want to waste my time if this is really what's it's all about. If I want a gameplay game I might as well play Nintendo or Cod / Fortnite.
If you have just been killed you haven’t really seen much of the story. The core of the plot is whether you will side with the empire who sent you, with the colonized locals or with another third party you’ll discover along the way. Most decisions are about picking one of those sides. So, this is really a gameplay kind of game? Not really a RPG player but loved the lore and immersion in Witcher 3 and Mass Effect. P.S.: what keeps me going besides the gameplay loop and exploration is the damn graphics. On Series X at 40fps this game is just mind-blowing. Unreal Engine and Lumen are doing things to me. Walking through a city without LOD pop in is just a different gaming experience I haven't experienced before.
Play Warhammer 40k Darktide if you want to skip cutscenes.Say it.

Say it.
A couple of odds and ends.
1. Fucking did it. First Legendary weapon!
Not sure if I'll be able to progress it into further Legendary tiers, cause the resources are damn near impossible to find in the third region at least.

2.Topher , since you seem to be doing the 2 handed gun style, the third area has an incredible beaut-of-a-weapon for your playstyle. Pretty pricey though.

34k?

$34.99K
So basically 35K (plus tax)
Yeaahh equipment is real expensive in the third area, the nicer armors are closer to 50K but the games economy is fucked. I reckon they'll make money drops more generous in one of the first updates, since that seems to be a recurring complaint.
Bitch
Beat the game. 14 hours. Did minimal side quests and skipped every cutscene and dialogue. Played as the wizard and use the whisper in exile wand most of the game. Combat was good and the boss fights were decent. One and done for me.
Anyone find that skeleton wizard in that cave on the coast of the second area?.
He asks you to fight his minions, who he cunjures up (a ton of them lol, pretty hard fight). And if you beat them he gives you a maxed out named great sword?.
Well worth doing, and i'm playing with swords, i dont know if you will get a weapon that is similar to what you're using, or if you always get a greatsword.
Its a cool fight and discovery though.

Man i just lovethe exploring in this game, its so damn addicting, and there is so much to discover in the second area, which i'm still in after 26 hours!.Yea, one of the first place I stumbled on in the 2nd area. Was a tough fight. The horsecutter is the name of the sword.
Its 2 handed unfortunately. It has like 198 pwr or something.2h or 1h sword
I’m using the 1h sword with healing and fire damage for now and loving it but not sure if there’s better stuff
Going 1h sword with spell book and rifle on swap
after playing more than 25 hours both answers are noSo is there even one beautiful woman in this game? One, strong, good, white man? I'm trying to guage if it's just the usual garbage we see all the time these days.
maybe you were confused by him saying great sword, it's a greatsword.2h or 1h sword![]()
And yet you played for 25 hours, hmm.after playing more than 25 hours both answers are no
otherwise it's a mid game, there's really some work put into the environments, but that doesn't make the game entertaining for more than 10 hours
Expected as much after the pronoun news broke - Western devs are going to western dev.after playing more than 25 hours both answers are no
You can break down stuff and craft up resources pretty easily. I'm not having issues with the in-game economy at all.It is almost like they were going to go the Ubisoft route and let folks buy in-game currency with real money and then said "bad idea" but forgot to adjust the in-game prices.
Don't really think that's what happened, but yeah.....the economy is jacked up pretty bad.
Giatta is pretty. Pretty much every character in this game is flawed. So is there even one beautiful woman in this game? One, strong, good, white man? I'm trying to guage if it's just the usual garbage we see all the time these days.
Yo

the quality of rewards in the game are dynamic and will always give you something that's around your level. Its 2 handed unfortunately. It has like 198 pwr or something.
Do you play in third person?1. Fucking did it. First Legendary weapon!

Well crafting/upgrading is part of the economy, though. I'm very careful with my purchases from the vendors now and feel more motivated to use the crafting system. I like it the way it is.When I'm taking about economy it is about buying/selling, not breaking down and crafting. I don't have a problem with crafting/upgrading either. The prices for buying are jacked up.

I tried that weapon in first person and I couldn’t see shit when fighting when it was dark, whole screen just had fire all over
