... this is the same observation I had with Starfield
1. previews = usually positive
2. early access= shills and xbox subsidized sites inflate the positive reception of the game thanks to
sus reviews and free copies to those influencers
3.hype from fans/shills dies down
4. "Official" release date: With an already deflated hype, new reviews, commentary and video essays are more critical and reflect the sentiment of
actual gamers. (your average consumer)
I think so far this has been proven to be an awful marketing strategy. (It doesn't help that the games are mid either.)
