9070 XT it is then. I have been happy with my Radeon 5700 XT for the last 6 years and now it's time to upgrade to the 9070XT where AMD has finally given us a good card that can compete at a good price. I only paid $450 for my 5700XT and back then it was competing with a 2070 and it has served me well. Giving me a card at $599 that can compete in the 4070-4080-5070 range, with better upscaling and ray tracing technology, is a bargain at $599.99.

BTW, AMD is currently offering Monster Hunter Wilds with Radeon 7000 and Ryzen 9000 CPUs.
If that deal is also available for the 9070 series, it would make it even better value. A 70$ game for "free" is always a nice extra on a new GPU.

Well this one all depends on where and if you can find “599” models and whether or not the mentioned “340 watt” models are priced competitively as well. I have a feeling the 340W model will be considered the “real” 9070 XT price in a few months and I could see them being anywhere from 100 to 250 dollars more if you look at the Nvidia partner card situation.

I've had a 5800x3D + 7900XT in my build for nearly 2 years now. For anyone else thinking of switching, the driver experience has been flawless and you only need 2 8 pin connectors that come with the added bonus of not melting.

Tim from HU says they have spoken with several retailers and said that there is more stock of RDNA4 than of RTX 5000 GPUs.

Need to wait on a real 4k Video, not the stream, for that Ray tracing Performance.
It looked like it had a lot of shimmering and ghosting, which would be a shame.
Also, Gen-AI like Stable-Diffusion, FLUX etc. have been absent too.

Price seems pretty good but as others said, it feels like the OC 320W Model will be the real 5070ti contender but will also cost most likely very close to it.

I have been holding on to my 5800X3D to upgrade my PC with a graphics card from this gen. I was waiting to see how AMD was going to compete with the midrange 5000 series and they have blown me out of the water. I will be blown away going from a 3700X to a 5800X3D and from a 5700 XT to a 9070 XT.

AMD has a strange advantage. Much lower demand than nvidia. The market share for GPUs is 90% for nvidia and only 10% for AMD.
So with greater stock of GPUs in stores and fewer people wanting to buy them, it's more likely to hit the MRSP.

If FSR 4 is competitive with DLSS 4, looks like the 9070XT will be a pretty good deal. Not sure if it's enough of an upgrade over my 3080 to justify moving over, but if I was building a new system from scratch, it's probably the way I would go.

I'm coming from a 3070 as well and I'm very tempted to get this over a 5070ti. As you say, if the pricing and performance are as they say it is.
