Multiple sources are stating Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal is on January 16th

I don't think a multibillion worldwide company just look at videogames forum/tweet and takes decisions right after.
The leaks are way, way, way beyond any forum. They are everywhere. Nintendo wants to control the narrative instead of giving people the idea they had to reveal it. Nintendo does things on their own terms. Not on Nate the Hate's terms.

This shit is postponed. Nintendo will reveal it when people won't expect it.

All of you people should stop F5ing and get a fucking life. Is it really worth it wasting your precious time in life waiting when something is getting announced? In this day and age you'll know it soon enough anyway. You won't mis anything. Go outside, fuck a nice girl, buy a hamburger or play some game.

Fucking live.
You are trolling yourself by waiting for a reveal while you could also get a fucking life. Nintendo does what Nintendo does and they already decided on a reveal plan long ago. Go live a life pal.
Dude. Please go outside.
I am very much ok and living a fantastic life without having to refresh NG every minute. By the way, I have more things to do then be on NG for "hours" on end, like you're suggesting. I'm actually playing video games instead of talking about it.
Good luck wasting your precious time in life F5ing to see an announcement of a reveal.
NO. Read my post.
Thanks. Everybody seems to not want to read what I said.
Seek help.

How do you know? The chances of them revealing anything this week seem as small as the average US dick.
US dick?

Is Nintendo really gonna just release a video? no event? like why are they acting like a new console doesn't matter if they truly are showing it tomorrow.

This is all strange behavior

Difference is, this console looks almost identical to the switch. The switch could stand on its own because it was vastly different to everything in the market, this is not.

Sure but if Nintendo doesn't want to show games, it might be a sign our knowledge of the system isn't as complete as we think it is (touched on earlier). Otherwise, certainly a bizarre decision, especially if they wait too long afterwards to get to the games, either way.

I hope you're right, it'll be the software that makes me decide anyways, not the system this time around

Nintendo is deeply hurt by all these leaks and for that reason alone they won't reveal it this week and by the way, this week is Donkey Kong week. Good to see all those "leakers" were wrong as F. Nintendo controls the narrative. Not anyone else.

Get back to living.

It was always the software for me. That's why I got a cumbersome Wii U. While form factor and switch gimmick was a huge upgrade, it wasn't really good enough to plunk down money until Odyssey dropped. This time, the whole world owns Switch 1s, not just like 20 people Wii U. I think they know, they better have some fucking games

Nate predicted a March 2024 reveal last year. When that didn't happen it became June 2024. Here we are in January 2025.

So they're full of shit then? Sounds about right.

I said in a previous post that I couldn't believe the Halo MCC would launch on the Switch 2 and PS5. Looks like I was right to doubt Nate.

So funny seeing everyone tripping balls over a announcement while nothing is coming this week. Nate was wrong and this was already very clear yesterday. I also thought he could be right but there's 0 reason for Nintendo to announce anything this week.

- it's Donkey Kong week
- they don't want the public to think they don't control the narrative and therefore postponed a possible Direct
- Nintendo has nothing to lose by announcing it next week or the week after especially when they know all you guys are thirsty as F

Reading people’s wish lists on social media about features/UI, I only wish Nintendo made as much effort.

It would not surprise me if it was only a slight refinement on the original in that regard.

Switch 2 could stand on the, uhh, Switch tho

If it were named Switch U than Nintendo should be worried. Switch 2 will generate hype.

I feel like tomorrow will just be 'So March it is!' Followed by excitement for the rumored reveal next week again, I mean who wouldn't want to be the broken clock that gets it right.

The above video made some very astute observations that are worth interest...

The critical detail is that the only USB C port is on the top. The port on the bottom is now a different, larger port. By happenstance it resembles an existing GPU adapter with a gap in the middle. This, combined with the back of the dock being chunky and having exhaust grills, raises alarm bells for me. I'm paying attention now.

Combined with some other stuff I've seen. It seems like IR aiming is coming back. The new joycons have camera like Wiimote between SL/SR, when you hold it sideways. If you slide on the wrist strap attachment it has lenses/mirrors in it to hold it like a wiimote aiming instead.

So Switch 2 will finally give us the 1:1 IR pointing AND good graphics I thought had been left behind for good. Which is fantastic for FPS games, Wii remakes like Galaxy 2, and people who don't wanna recalibrate constantly.

Edit: There's also talk of the optical sensor being used as a mouse. Who knows the real deal, but if it is, I wonder if it could be used as both a mouse and a wii remote. After all, both use cases involve a camera. That kinda seems too good and crazy to be true though, but if Nintendo launched a console that let me choose controller, free wiimote aim, OR mouse in a third party FPS, I'd have a heart attack and die. Halo MCC: Definitive Version only on Switch 2 :messenger_grinning_sweat:
