Call of Duty 2025 could still release on PS4 and Xbox One, per sources. Supporting last-gen in 2025 is a wild decision, but the game is in development for the old consoles from what we've heard. This may be a reason as to why there can't be two big maps in Warzone at same time.

What is a next gen game? we play on PC's dressed as consoles, game engines scale, games will be made to run on the Switch 2 all the way up to PS5 Pro and on Steamdeck all the way up to 5090.

One x still gets the job done for me. The critical mass must be casuals for the FIFA /NFL/ COD holy trinity. They looked at the side by side on YouTube and thought the old console is good enough. This wouldn't have happened 10 -20 years ago.

3000 member dev studio with 600 million dollar budgets and they make the same fucking game every year and still make it for ps4.

Destructible environments. Environment damage. In single player, When I throw a grenade walls should break and crumble. At the very minimum.

With that budget and studio size, COD should be the most advanced shooter on the planet....

We don’t know how many people had both an xbox 360 and a ps3. We aren’t taking into consideration the huge failure rate of both consoles that gen etc…

And by the time ps5 reaches 80M, series will be close to 40M. It’s not like it has no units sold.

I know there’s money to be made but if we always think like that we will never move on from those consoles. People move once the games move as well. Not the other way around. You need games for people to be interested in a piece of hardware.

Yeah the release of Monster Hunter Wilds has really shown what a next gen only game can do.
1080p and 60 FPS at the same time. Ok there are a few dips but still. And such glorious visuals that you just can't even imagine them being possible on a PS2 PS3 PS4.

Play every other Call of Duty game on PC; CoD WWII, Cold War, and recently Black Ops 6... and over 7-8 years the graphics haven't really progressed that much.

xbox one x here. i bought a series x but gifted it to someone and then gave me their old xbox one x.

black ops 6 definitely has some frame drops in heavy fights and on maps like low town.

hoping that call of duty 2025 is more CQC focused like black ops 6. can't stand large sniping/camping maps.

Sorry to tell you this, but your personal opinion of the game has zero relevance on the matter, and hey, just like mine. We're talking about big sellers to move people towards the PS5, and Spider-Man 22 was exactly that.
Yotei isn't also just 1 game, it's just that it will undoubtedly be the biggest seller among them. Which is why I didn't mention the likes of Lost Soul Aside and Death Stranding 2.
