Report: Call of Duty 2025 still releasing on PS4 and Xbox One

1. Going forward Switch 2 will probably be supported so people crying about it not going next gen only should get ready for more disappointment going forward.

2. COD is mainly played for multiplayer these days and graphics for multiplayer games aren't that important to people as far as I know (Fortnite, Apex, CS2, Valorant, Overwatch, etc.)

3. Who the heck cares? The game is still stuck in 2007 in terms of gameplay, might as well be stuck there in terms of graphics.

Someone rememeber the Mortal Kombat gem?

'We gonna drop PS4 and Xbox One in favor of PS5/Series X'

Also

'Nintendo Switch version'.

So believe in what you want. Last gen never was a factor for shit.

A brand new engine for starters.

Destructible environments. Environment damage. In single player, When I throw a grenade walls should break and crumble. At the very minimum.

With that budget and studio size, COD should be the most advanced shooter on the planet...

CoD looks insanely good at 4K160 would be hard pressed to think of a better looking FPS, CoD is a multiplayer title foremost with static environments for gameplay.

The game is designed this way and should stay this way, it would completely break maps otherwise it doesn’t play like Siege or Battlefield. The same reason CS doesn’t have destructive environments.

Im talking about single player, there's zero excuse for no destructible environments.

I also think it should be in MP - Fuck those nerdy purists. Its a WAR game,

The SP engine is the MP engine, they would need to introduce an entire new engine into the game when this is one of the best performing engines there is at this point for online.

Destructive environments would legit completely break the game in online competitive MP and even casual the way maps are designed.

Hopefully the next battlefield fixes that itch for you but for CoD fanatics it’s not the thing.

What's a COD next gen only going to bring, anyway? Better physics to Snoop Dogg's dreads or Nicki Minaj's butt cheeks?

Having one current gen console at 80 million is not the same as having 2 current gen consoles at 80 million each. I would also prefer for them to abandon last gen, but I understand why they are not doing it yet. There is a lot of money there.
So this is more Xbox fault for not pulling their weight.

That Game Pass sacrifice willed this more so.
