I can imagine one of these 3rd party games will be COD...
probably 2 guys sitting on a park bench, or in a plane playing CoD Zombies together... calling it now!

I've changed four jobs since that reveal. The fact that this reveal was 8 years ago, I swear I'm in a time warp.
Nintendo has many teams that haven’t released any bigger titles in a few years. They be cooking good I’m sure. 3D Mario should be at least launch window. One thing that we need to remember in regards to the Switch 2 reveal is that this is a different Nintendo; a fat, happy, profitable Nintendo coming off of their most successful console ever. The 2017 Switch launch lineup was shockingly good; but this was Nintendo in a humiliated and humble state, backs against the wall, coming off the unmitigated disaster of the Wii U. Will Nintendo be able to stay hungry and “wow” us with another BOTW/Mario Odyssey style launch lineup?

What?? Why no games??
Yes it does, but I was referring moreso to how quickly the last 8 years have gone. Hell, we're closing in on 5 years since the lockdowns.Nah, the Switch definitely feels old. Hell of an influential console though.
Shit I moved countries and then moved back because of covid since that reveal lol.I've changed four jobs since that reveal.
Coincides with DKCR release date. Makes sense
Arms came from the same production group as Mario Kart. So I see Arms 2 only being a thing if they got support from an external studio.the Mario Odyssey devs haven't really shipped a full blown game since 2017, they only made stuff and helped on a smaller scope, so I think they will have something ready for the first year of the Switch 2.
Metroid Prime 4 will be cross gen for sure.
and at launch Mario Kart 9, the successor to one of the best selling games of all time.
I feel like they will be probably fine with these 3 as their standout titles, and will probably have smaller ones in-between those releases to keep the flow going.
maybe ARMS 2? I loved the concept even tho it got stale fast. but a more fleshed out sequel that feels more substantial would be amazing imo.
and there will be Pokemon Z-A of course, which will probably at least be Switch 2 enhanced, or also fully cross gen. and Pokemon sells... the Wii U didn't have Pomemon, which that alone is a huge difference maker I feel.
I am one of the few people who genuinely liked Arms.Arms came from the same production group as Mario Kart. So I see Arms 2 only being a thing if they got support from an external studio.

I borrowed a copy amd found it okay, but would have liked it to be more fleshed out. I'm a single player gamer primarily.I am one of the few people who genuinely liked Arms.
This is what I hoped for Arms 2: A more fleshed-out Arms 1.I borrowed a copy amd found it okay, but would have liked it to be more fleshed out. I'm a single player gamer primarily.
They’d have to change it up fundamentally for me to be interested again I think. The whole ‘fighting from a distance’ thing isn’t all that exciting imo. This is what I hoped for Arms 2: A more fleshed-out Arms 1.

Who knows besides Nintendo itself?!If there is a hardware reveal on Thursday, when will we get the announcement of the reveal/direct?
Ngl, it's hard to go back to any Punch-Out game for me after Arms.
Humanity needed a new Punch-Out and Arms got in the way of that.
This is why them delaying this reveal was just so stupid. Back in October, all I would have wanted from a Switch 2 reveal was to see the hardware, because I was afraid they'd mess it up and add some stupid gimmick to it that would ruin things.
Now that we know the important aspects of the hardware, them basically repeating everything to us will just feel pointless.
Show games, or date and price. We need something new. Otherwise, they're really going to start this off with a whimper.
Nah, I don't think either move is stupid. You know what's really stupid? Announcing a Switch 2 while you're trying to sell Switch 1 and Switch 1 software.
lol same
It won't get revealed this week unless they announce it within the next 53 minutes. Normally they announce a reveal 2 days before at a maximum of 1800 CET and it's mostly always on Tuesday or Thursday.
They'll send out something like 24h before, maybe even less. I don't think just dropping without warning is out of the question either, all eyes are on them so they don't need to warm the public up to the first look.Still no tweet from nintendo. I doubt they just shadow drop the thing on thursday
I've changed four jobs since that reveal.
I always dreamed the would turn it into a 3v3 or 5v5 arena brawler/shooter. Call me crazy, but the first had the feel of going 1v1 in an acrobatic fps way more than a fighting game, IMO.This is what I hoped for Arms 2: A more fleshed-out Arms 1.
So nintendo is just going to drop a press releaase and recorded video?
Cant say im surprise if Switch2 is just upgraded Switch1...
The same sources of Switch pro from many years ago?
