To be fair, anti wokes and wokes are just as annoying, but you can comb through threads and see plenty of people that weren't banned that were going against the grain. Which is how it should be IMO. There's a line no matter what your opinions are, if no one crosses is, everything should be fine. People can disagree and still be cordial, and to be fair, I think if certain people didn't bring up certain personal opinions everything would be more cordial. There was a period where I was thinking about creating a GAF account many moons ago but I hesitated because of the amount of random bans I saw, lol. Moderation has gotten a lot better since then.

Same, lol. It was sad that I hesitated to make an account for so long, finally did, and was banned for something that didn't make sense. I remember being really confused. I've also never been the confrontational/shitty type of any form. I just commented something that I felt was helpful to the topic and would provide some insight as I had some experience in it, and boom, banned. It was definitely one of those threads where people were getting shot left and right for no real reason.

The mods there are completely insane and view things upside down where common sense and good are consider evil to them and where evil, insane, and twisted things are consider normal. They are way too far gone and have lost all reasoning and common sense. Most of the users there are too or at least the loudest and most active ones. Anyone with any decent views or common sense or sane opinions gets banned there. Getting banned there is a blessing like others have said so consider it a good thing that you won't have to waste time managing a account there. If you want a laugh just go read there comments from time to time, you don't need a account for that.

Neogaf is way better and easily the best gaming forum currently, gamefaqs during it's prime days used to be great too but not anymore. Even with the lame folks who tries to say Neogaf is the opposite of Resetera which is far from being true since this place is way more fair and reasonable and I have even seen some of those purple sided insane people posting here too without getting banned unless they try forcing and insulting others for not accepting their twisted views and even that seems allowed somewhat. And most of the folks here are actually sane and normal unlike the abominations which normalized and enforce the most sick and twisted views in resetera.

Start one! I’ll be there, been almost exclusively listening to metal the last 30+ years. Been playing the guitar myself for as long but not professionally just hobby. I’m kinda stuck in the old school 90s thrash stuff, as far as I’m concerned there is still nothing that beat Metallica’s Justice for All album and Megadeth’s Countdown to Extinction when it comes to riffs. Could use some new ideas!

Instrumental metal is the only thing modern I genuinely enjoy. Some Dreamtheater songs where LaBrie mostly shut up and Petrucci and Portnoy and Rudess just gets on with it for like 20 minutes is just magical! The Parasomnia album they just released in feb has some great songs. Give it a listen if you haven’t already!
